“Like You’ll Never See Me Again” is the second single written by Alicia Keys and Kerry Brothers Jr. for her third studio album, As I Am (2007). The song was first heard on October 25, 2007 on Atlanta’s V103 WVEE radio station. Keys performed this song on Good Morning America on November 13, 2007.
The song debuted on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart at number thirty-seven, jumped fifteen places to number twenty-two in it’s second week and a further seven places to number fifteen in it’s third.
The video was shot and was premiered Tuesday November 13 on Total Request Live and 106 & Park.
The video features rapper/actor Common.

Music is directly from the end of Prince’s “Purple Rain”, which further display this artist impact on Alicia life. I wish that the two could do a duo album or at least a song together. I know she gave an awesome intro to his Hall of Fame induction. She also did his song “Why don’t you call me anymore”, and I know he has publically called her one of the best artist out there. Just curious if anyone ever notice the influence of other artist in today’s music.

I thought that I heard Prince too…and I loved it. The scratch on the first of the song like they were playin records is great, I got out the Prince and realized it really sounds like she was takin notes. I think it also sounds alot like Beautiful Ones before it gets rowdy. Alicia Keys is a wonderful artist, thanks, lady.
