It was a very successful single in the summer and early fall of 2007, topping many video countdowns, and becoming Aly & AJ’s most successful single to date.
The music video, shows Amanda Michalka and older sister Alyson Michalka singing “Potential Breakup Song” on a grey set dressed in black, it was directed by Chris Applebaum.

This is a really catchy song! I love it! I was at my sister’s house the other day baby-sitting my nephew, and he was watching the video (He’s 9 months), and he started yelling at it this, “Baba, lick!” I think he liked it! So, I played it again, and he started yelling again laughing and smiling. It was soooo cute! Aly and Aj are soooo awesome, and I love the rhythm to their songs.
