Anastacia - Heavy Rotation Album Review
Heavy Rotation is the fourth studio album by the Pop/Soul diva Anastacia and the first studio album in over four years, since her self-titled 3rd studio album Anastacia released in 2004.
‘Heavy Rotation’ will be Anastacia’s first studio album on her new record deal with Universal Music Group since her departure from Daylight / Epic.
Includes collaborations with producers Ne-Yo, The Heavyweights, Lester Mendez, JR Rotem and Rodney Jerkins.
This album is yet another example of her versatility, she sounds as bold and soulful as ever. Anastacia remains one of the finest voices in modern day pop.
With this album she leans more closely to her first two albums but yet it’s not a totally comfortable slipping back to her old funky and soulful Not That Kind/ Freak of Nature sound. She has really moved into the area of contemporary R&B.
All around this is a very good album, buy it and you will not be disappointed.

Album Information
According to Anastacia, the album also has a deeper meaning to it, referring to the fact that life rotates and you get through the “heavy” things.
Anastacia has stated the following about the title:
I called the album Heavy Rotation because it’s a phrase that originated with DJs, and also for me the meaning is, life can be heavy, but it all turns around and goes into something else. It seemed to be the perfect title for where I’m at in my life.
