“Mountains” is the title of the latest single by Scottish band Biffy Clyro, due to be released on August 25, 2008 on 14th Floor Records.
The song was originally titled “Teeth or Mountains” and was first played live in June 2008 in Spain, has been played at several summer festival appearances since, and made its studio debut on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show in the UK on Friday June 19, 2008 as “The Hottest Record in the World Today“.

its not break the mountain down in the second line, its break the mountain “dead”. listen again to the song and you will find it appears to make more sense

I agree with Josh W that it is ‘break the mountain “dead”‘ and i found one more mistake. In the last bit when it says ‘Love will last forever” it is actually “Love ‘can’ last forever” if you listen carefully.

my fav song! except it is actually “love will last forever” if you listen very carefully on the acoustic version! im not sure if it is “break the mountain dead” or “break the mountain down” because of their accent!

On the line “I thought my teeth’d break the mountain dead.”
I was under the impression that the true lyrics are “I thought my teeth’d break, the mountain did.”
The “dead” comes from Simon’s strong scottish accent I think.
