Black Eyed Peas - I Got A Feeling Lyrics and Video

I Got A Feeling by Black Eyed Peas, Music Video and Lyrics

I Got A Feeling is the second single by the Black Eyed Peas from their fifth studio album, The E.N.D. (The Energy Never Dies). It was produced by David Guetta himself.
The video features guest appearances by David Guetta, Kid Cudi, and a few well known personalities of the GLBT community, including Ongina of RuPaul’s Drag Race fame.
The song peaked at #2 on U.S. Billboard Hot 100.

It’s good that BEP are always innovating their music. Here you can listen the studio version of the song, this is the official video.

Black Eyed Peas - I Got A Feeling Lyrics

I gotta feeling that tonight’s gonna be a good night
that tonight’s gonna be a good night
that tonight’s gonna be a good good night (x4)

Tonight’s the night night
Let’s live it up
I got my money
Let’s spend it up

Go out and smash it
like Oh My God
Jump off that sofa
Let’s get get OFF

I know that we’ll have a ball
if we get down
and go out
and just loose it all

I feel stressed out
I wanna let it go
Lets go way out spaced out
and loosing all control

Fill up my cup
Mazal tov
Look at her dancing
just take it off

Lets paint the town
We’ll shut it down
Let’s burn the roof
and then we’ll do it again

Lets Do it (x3)
and live it up

i gotta feeling that tonight’s gonna be a good night
that tonight’s gonna be a good night
that tonight’s gonna be a good good night (x2)

  2. Lisa Says:

why are there jewish words in this song ?

  3. Court Says:

    Does it matter?
And their talking about drinking, and usually when those of the Jewish faith toast or praise, they say Mazel Tov or Lechiam.

I do not know the religious status of any of the members of the BEP, but this is an awesome song. :]

  9. Em Says:

“Mazal Tov” means good luck/fortune or in general, congratulations and “L’chaim” (this is how it is commonly spelled) is a toast meaning “to life!” “L’chaim” is usually used when toasting with a drink but “Mazal Tov” can be used in many situations. These words are also not “Jewish” they both come from Hebrew and are used in Yiddish as well.

For anyone who cares, the producer/co-writer for this song, David Guetta, is a Jewish French DJ. Hence, the Hebrew words.

not to be hatin’ or anything but where’s the rest of the song??

why do they say “Saturday” twice?

    Love the song though :)

  25. kammie Says:

i loved this song alot until i heard the Hebrew phrases that are in it. you shouldn’t use Hebrew phrases unless you actually know what they mean, or if you are Jewish. fergie is great at ruining their songs.

  26. Chelsea Says:

Amazin song an i think fergie makes the song better :) an does it matter if they have hebrew im it does it really matter?

  27. lawson Says:

omg i love this song but how come u cant download it on itunes it sucks cus i really want it

  28. Noah Says:

    Kammie:

I strongly disagree with your statement. For one, David Guetta’s Jewish. Second, in my own opinion, I do not feel that one must be Jewish in order to use Hebrew phrases. I’m a Jew and I take no offense to the use of “Mazel Tov” - Congratulations, and “L’Chaim” - To Life (or more simply, cheers!) in this song. If you understand what you are saying, and are not being offensive in what you say, then there is no valid reason why you should refrain from speaking, or singing in the language of others.

Personally, I became fond of this song because it’s just a fucking great song. But I actually liked this song even more once I caught on to the use of the Hebrew euphemisms in it. Why take offense when you can be proud instead?

Props to Guetta and the BEP for dropping another sick track off another sick album.

  29. mame Says:

    =) great song!!

  30. Bailey Says:

This song is awesome! I can’t get it out of my head! (its really hard for a song to get stuck in my head, so that says alot) PS: If they’re saying Jewish words, as long as it’s not offensive, ITS NOT BAD!!! Congrats and cheers isn’t bad, is it? I don’t think so.

  31. wasa Says:

Kammie stupid comments like yours cause wars. Do us a humanity a favor and think b4 you make a comment. I love the song so much I had to get the words which got me to this site. I’m sure its a hit already. Peace!

  32. cin cin Says:

    Awsome song:D
    Lo lo love it!!!

  33. abi Says:

this song makes me feel alright :)

  34. Sam Says:

I liked this song because once i heard it, it gave me enought excitement to enjoy the rest of my day..but not anymore after knowing that they r using some jewish words!!

  35. megan Says:

does it really matter if their using jewish words?! no it doesn’t so stop being so damn pathetic about it btw:S! its an amazing song and if u dont like it having jewish words then dont listen to it,simple;)!!

  36. nick Says:

I don’t understand either why they use hebrew words.

  37. Chronic Says:

This song is great, but the english words really piss me off. As soon as I found out they were speaking english I couldn’t listen to it anymore, I mean are any of them even from england? Fergie’s the dutchess but she’s from LA. You shouldn’t use the english language if you aren’t from England. I wish the whole song was in Hebrew, then I could tolerate it.

On a more serious note, why do they have to use autotone? I heard a live clip of this song and it sounds like bad karaoke with crowds cheering in the background.

  38. Chronic Says:

    Sam / Kammie,
Are you really upset about the Jewish/Hebrew words in the song? Do you take offense religiously? Did you totally ignore the fact that they say “Oh my God”? I would think that should be much more offensive to a devout jew as it breaks one of the 10 commandments handed down to the Jewish people by the prophet Moses.

My guess is you aren’t an orthodox jew, maybe you don’t even practice a religion, you know some hebrew words an just wanted to be preachy and you love attention.

It is a song. If it offends you, please at least be consistent in what it is that offends you. I don’t take you seriously.

  39. Azmani Says:

This song is the best now!

  40. jaso Says:

me encanta esta cancion EL riTMO es imprecionante y es cierto eso k la energia nunca muere y en este album esta demostrado…

ya k kon otros diskos viene este a revolucionarla musica entera es lo mejor, el ritmo es sin igual…

y I got a feeling es buenisimo y el video de BOOM BOOM BOOM

es super creativooooooooooooooooooooo y super adelantado para nuestra epoca.

    THE E-N-D

  41. allison Says:

I find no offense to the hebrew words. In fact I love it because it is fun.
I am jewish, and the song doesn’t make fun in anyway of the jewish
so i don’t see why someone would take offense to it. If they were making fun
then thats another story, but its just a little plug by David Guetta.

Plus, if it really offends you, don’t listen to it.

  42. Leah Says:

omg you are all so pathetic saying that it offends you if you are jewish when they are good words saying to life etc. how on earth is that offensive?!! grow up and stop seeking attention. its a great song and i think people should be writing comments about the actaul song , not nitpicking about a couple of hebrew words!

  43. Laura Says:

Weel said Leah, it’s unfortunate people outside the Jewish faith take offense to it because they are just words, but to be Jewish and be botbered, get a grip. Just look at the big picture and enjoy the song or don’t listen to it at all.

  44. Gaby Says:

I love this song! It’s really catchy, the beat, the voices. : ) I agree with mostly everyone that the usage of Jewish words do not make it a less appealing song. Its not like they’re saying anything bad; congrats and cheers is not bad, its not offensive nor discriminating. So, yeah Fergie didn’t ruin the song. I like her voice. And once again I love this song!

  45. Yossi Says:

Yo, I’m a Jewish Israeli, and this song offends me in no way. I’m not such a fan of BEP as hip hop/rap artists but this song is a CATCHY summer anthem.

Being Jewish, as some people have referenced, “Mazal Tov” (phonetically more correct than “Mazel Tov”, actually. Yiddish-speakers prounounce it “Mazel Tov” but both words are Hebrew and not from the Germanic side of Yiddish, so in English it really should be pronounced “MazAl Tov”.) means something like “good circumstances” literally, but is used as a really warm, friendly, happy way of saying “Congratulations!” usually. What the hell is offensive about that, unless you’re Antisemitic (though it’s not offensive these days to say I don’t like Israelis, so most people just hide their hate of us by saying “I hate Israel”…fuckers). “L’chaim” means literally “to life,” but it’s just the word we use to say “cheers”…every language has a way of saying “let’s drink,” and that happens to be ours.

Though the one thing that bugs me about it is how they say “L’Chaim” with that kaosillator sound. It sounds RETARDED to a native speaker. They say it “Laa-Hii-EEM”…hahaha. It would be like a German singing a song and they threw in a few English words and “Cheers” was one of them but they pronounced it “Chayyy-arrs” instead. It just sounds silly to me…but I like the thought.

    Shalom v’l'hitraot.

  46. lewis Says:

i love this song but there is one question if sum1 will please answer is why do they say saturday twice:s i got confussed lol

  47. Zizu Says:

This song is best viewed in mute

  48. Lolaa Says:

Why do people care about 2 foreign words in a song..honnestly…what to say with Beyonce “Déjà-vu” ? it was a french title..did it bother people OTHER than retarded ones??What about Madonna ” La Isla Bonita”(woww Spanish words in it!!) or her other song “Sorry” where she says slikha (sorry in Hebrew)? wow..Etc etc… I think Mazal Tov and Lechaim were just to add an original touch to the song , it probably sounded good to them in the lyrics , etc…Why are some people so picky about words…It’s just happy words…
ONE MORE THING….They use the word SOFA too…Which is a turkish word…Wow…will make more people angry at the lyrics being too exotic now !!!

  49. Sarah Keynes Says:

I love this song! and every time I hear this song I keep on partying all night! xxxxxxxxx oooooooooo xxxxxxxxxxxx

  50. Tina Says:

A lot of different music groups use words from other languages - it is very common! It also has a special appellation, I don’t remember it correctly. The song is awesome!

it does not matter that this song has Jewish words or words from other languages.the fact is that the song is great and we fell great and enjoy it when we hear it. your thoughts about other religions or other nations should not affect your taste of global issues. if you enjoy the music and the rythm, that’s all. ;)
