I Gotta Feeling by Black Eyed Peas, Music Video and Lyrics
I Got A Feeling is the second single by the Black Eyed Peas from their fifth studio album, The E.N.D. (The Energy Never Dies). It was produced by David Guetta himself.
The video features guest appearances by David Guetta, Kid Cudi, and a few well known personalities of the GLBT community, including Ongina of RuPaul’s Drag Race fame.
The song peaked at #1 on U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
It’s good that BEP are always innovating their music. Here you can listen the song, this is the official video.
Black Eyed Peas - I Got A Feeling Lyrics
I gotta feeling that tonight’s gonna be a good night
that tonight’s gonna be a good night
that tonight’s gonna be a good good night (x4)
Tonight’s the night night
Let’s live it up
I got my money
Let’s spend it up
Go out and smash it
like Oh My God
Jump off that sofa
Let’s get get OFF
I know that we’ll have a ball
if we get down
and go out
and just loose it all
I feel stressed out
I wanna let it go
Lets go way out spaced out
and loosing all control
Fill up my cup
Mazal tov
Look at her dancing
just take it off
Lets paint the town
We’ll shut it down
Let’s burn the roof
and then we’ll do it again
Lets Do it (x3)
and live it up
i gotta feeling that tonight’s gonna be a good night
that tonight’s gonna be a good night
that tonight’s gonna be a good good night (x2)

May 31st, 2009 at 3:52 am
why are there jewish words in this song ?
June 1st, 2009 at 6:01 pm
Does it matter?
And their talking about drinking, and usually when those of the Jewish faith toast or praise, they say Mazel Tov or Lechiam.
I do not know the religious status of any of the members of the BEP, but this is an awesome song. :]

J’ADORE CETTE CHANSON ELLE BOUGE DE LA !!!!
June 15th, 2009 at 8:51 pm
“Mazal Tov” means good luck/fortune or in general, congratulations and “L’chaim” (this is how it is commonly spelled) is a toast meaning “to life!” “L’chaim” is usually used when toasting with a drink but “Mazal Tov” can be used in many situations. These words are also not “Jewish” they both come from Hebrew and are used in Yiddish as well.

June 24th, 2009 at 2:13 pm
For anyone who cares, the producer/co-writer for this song, David Guetta, is a Jewish French DJ. Hence, the Hebrew words.
June 24th, 2009 at 8:06 pm
I don’t care about what anyone says. I LOVE this song :P

not to be hatin’ or anything but where’s the rest of the song??
why do they say “Saturday” twice?
Love the song though :)
June 30th, 2009 at 7:10 pm
i loved this song alot until i heard the Hebrew phrases that are in it. you shouldn’t use Hebrew phrases unless you actually know what they mean, or if you are Jewish. fergie is great at ruining their songs.
July 2nd, 2009 at 1:23 pm
Amazin song an i think fergie makes the song better :) an does it matter if they have hebrew im it does it really matter?
July 2nd, 2009 at 2:59 pm
omg i love this song but how come u cant download it on itunes it sucks cus i really want it
July 4th, 2009 at 6:39 am
Kammie:
I strongly disagree with your statement. For one, David Guetta’s Jewish. Second, in my own opinion, I do not feel that one must be Jewish in order to use Hebrew phrases. I’m a Jew and I take no offense to the use of “Mazel Tov” - Congratulations, and “L’Chaim” - To Life (or more simply, cheers!) in this song. If you understand what you are saying, and are not being offensive in what you say, then there is no valid reason why you should refrain from speaking, or singing in the language of others.
Personally, I became fond of this song because it’s just a fucking great song. But I actually liked this song even more once I caught on to the use of the Hebrew euphemisms in it. Why take offense when you can be proud instead?
Props to Guetta and the BEP for dropping another sick track off another sick album.
July 7th, 2009 at 9:38 pm
=) great song!!
July 9th, 2009 at 3:56 pm
This song is awesome! I can’t get it out of my head! (its really hard for a song to get stuck in my head, so that says alot) PS: If they’re saying Jewish words, as long as it’s not offensive, ITS NOT BAD!!! Congrats and cheers isn’t bad, is it? I don’t think so.
July 10th, 2009 at 12:03 am
Kammie stupid comments like yours cause wars. Do us a humanity a favor and think b4 you make a comment. I love the song so much I had to get the words which got me to this site. I’m sure its a hit already. Peace!
July 10th, 2009 at 7:36 pm
Awsome song:D
Lo lo love it!!!
July 12th, 2009 at 3:43 pm
this song makes me feel alright :)
July 13th, 2009 at 2:47 pm
I liked this song because once i heard it, it gave me enought excitement to enjoy the rest of my day..but not anymore after knowing that they r using some jewish words!!
July 15th, 2009 at 7:26 am
does it really matter if their using jewish words?! no it doesn’t so stop being so damn pathetic about it btw:S! its an amazing song and if u dont like it having jewish words then dont listen to it,simple;)!!
July 16th, 2009 at 6:19 am
I don’t understand either why they use hebrew words.
July 16th, 2009 at 7:48 am
This song is great, but the english words really piss me off. As soon as I found out they were speaking english I couldn’t listen to it anymore, I mean are any of them even from england? Fergie’s the dutchess but she’s from LA. You shouldn’t use the english language if you aren’t from England. I wish the whole song was in Hebrew, then I could tolerate it.
On a more serious note, why do they have to use autotone? I heard a live clip of this song and it sounds like bad karaoke with crowds cheering in the background.
July 16th, 2009 at 10:09 am
Sam / Kammie,
Are you really upset about the Jewish/Hebrew words in the song? Do you take offense religiously? Did you totally ignore the fact that they say “Oh my God”? I would think that should be much more offensive to a devout jew as it breaks one of the 10 commandments handed down to the Jewish people by the prophet Moses.
My guess is you aren’t an orthodox jew, maybe you don’t even practice a religion, you know some hebrew words an just wanted to be preachy and you love attention.
It is a song. If it offends you, please at least be consistent in what it is that offends you. I don’t take you seriously.
July 24th, 2009 at 4:41 am
This song is the best now!
July 26th, 2009 at 12:03 am
me encanta esta cancion EL riTMO es imprecionante y es cierto eso k la energia nunca muere y en este album esta demostrado…
ya k kon otros diskos viene este a revolucionarla musica entera es lo mejor, el ritmo es sin igual…
y I got a feeling es buenisimo y el video de BOOM BOOM BOOM
es super creativooooooooooooooooooooo y super adelantado para nuestra epoca.
THE E-N-D
July 28th, 2009 at 11:31 pm
I find no offense to the hebrew words. In fact I love it because it is fun.
I am jewish, and the song doesn’t make fun in anyway of the jewish
so i don’t see why someone would take offense to it. If they were making fun
then thats another story, but its just a little plug by David Guetta.
Plus, if it really offends you, don’t listen to it.
July 29th, 2009 at 11:30 am
omg you are all so pathetic saying that it offends you if you are jewish when they are good words saying to life etc. how on earth is that offensive?!! grow up and stop seeking attention. its a great song and i think people should be writing comments about the actaul song , not nitpicking about a couple of hebrew words!
July 30th, 2009 at 3:37 pm
Weel said Leah, it’s unfortunate people outside the Jewish faith take offense to it because they are just words, but to be Jewish and be botbered, get a grip. Just look at the big picture and enjoy the song or don’t listen to it at all.
July 31st, 2009 at 6:14 pm
I love this song! It’s really catchy, the beat, the voices. : ) I agree with mostly everyone that the usage of Jewish words do not make it a less appealing song. Its not like they’re saying anything bad; congrats and cheers is not bad, its not offensive nor discriminating. So, yeah Fergie didn’t ruin the song. I like her voice. And once again I love this song!
July 31st, 2009 at 6:36 pm
Yo, I’m a Jewish Israeli, and this song offends me in no way. I’m not such a fan of BEP as hip hop/rap artists but this song is a CATCHY summer anthem.
Being Jewish, as some people have referenced, “Mazal Tov” (phonetically more correct than “Mazel Tov”, actually. Yiddish-speakers prounounce it “Mazel Tov” but both words are Hebrew and not from the Germanic side of Yiddish, so in English it really should be pronounced “MazAl Tov”.) means something like “good circumstances” literally, but is used as a really warm, friendly, happy way of saying “Congratulations!” usually. What the hell is offensive about that, unless you’re Antisemitic (though it’s not offensive these days to say I don’t like Israelis, so most people just hide their hate of us by saying “I hate Israel”…fuckers). “L’chaim” means literally “to life,” but it’s just the word we use to say “cheers”…every language has a way of saying “let’s drink,” and that happens to be ours.
Though the one thing that bugs me about it is how they say “L’Chaim” with that kaosillator sound. It sounds RETARDED to a native speaker. They say it “Laa-Hii-EEM”…hahaha. It would be like a German singing a song and they threw in a few English words and “Cheers” was one of them but they pronounced it “Chayyy-arrs” instead. It just sounds silly to me…but I like the thought.
Shalom v’l'hitraot.
August 1st, 2009 at 11:08 am
i love this song but there is one question if sum1 will please answer is why do they say saturday twice:s i got confussed lol
August 3rd, 2009 at 4:26 pm
This song is best viewed in mute
August 4th, 2009 at 5:49 pm
Why do people care about 2 foreign words in a song..honnestly…what to say with Beyonce “Déjà-vu” ? it was a french title..did it bother people OTHER than retarded ones??What about Madonna ” La Isla Bonita”(woww Spanish words in it!!) or her other song “Sorry” where she says slikha (sorry in Hebrew)? wow..Etc etc… I think Mazal Tov and Lechaim were just to add an original touch to the song , it probably sounded good to them in the lyrics , etc…Why are some people so picky about words…It’s just happy words…
ONE MORE THING….They use the word SOFA too…Which is a turkish word…Wow…will make more people angry at the lyrics being too exotic now !!!
August 4th, 2009 at 6:00 pm

August 6th, 2009 at 3:49 am
A lot of different music groups use words from other languages - it is very common! It also has a special appellation, I don’t remember it correctly. The song is awesome!
P.S. Sorry my English, I am not a native speaker)

August 22nd, 2009 at 8:50 am
it does not matter that this song has Jewish words or words from other languages.the fact is that the song is great and we fell great and enjoy it when we hear it. your thoughts about other religions or other nations should not affect your taste of global issues. if you enjoy the music and the rythm, that’s all. ;)
August 24th, 2009 at 7:09 am

September 20th, 2009 at 6:09 pm
I’m gonna be the first to comment that this song, although initially catchy, really is a bad song!
The lyrics repeat over and over, and there really of low quality and sound silly.
“like oh my God!” That sounds f***ing stupid to me.

November 6th, 2009 at 2:06 am
i can`t understand how this stupid, repetitive and pointless song became a hit.
the lyrics are written by a 14 year old?
November 6th, 2009 at 6:15 am
Ya know I’m a 55yr old Rock & Roll head banger. But I’ll tell ya what ! I LOVE this song. The smile on my face (from ear to ear) and I can’t sit still.Hey BEP great feel good !!!!!!!! MORE
November 7th, 2009 at 7:18 pm
OK, let’s go with the line, Oh my God!
Life is stressful but using sex and alcohol is only a “bandaid” Quick “feel good” behavior with some damaging side affects. Come to know God and life won’t be so stressful!
November 11th, 2009 at 3:32 pm
This song is so awesome, it just makes me want to get up and dance.
I first heard it at recent wedding reception my husband and I attended recently, I thought how fun is this song fun to dance too. I did not who the artist where. I also saw it on Oprah Show I DVDR it.
I only wish was their to participate!!!
Great job, “Black Eyed Peas” and Fergie you are awesome!!!
November 12th, 2009 at 2:29 am
i really like this song !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the lyrics are brilliant as well .it is wicked !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
November 13th, 2009 at 2:55 pm
regarding the hebrew words on the song, i think is only remarkable funny the use of them. I guess BEP thought they´ll sound good, and it does. I dont think they intend to make a whole lot of an issue there……the words just match the music fine, and it doesnt really matter if it is hebrew or chinese
November 23rd, 2009 at 8:48 pm
my mother sings better than all off u!!!
November 24th, 2009 at 4:39 am
i love this song so much
November 27th, 2009 at 6:18 am
This is possibly the most annoying song conceived by the mind of man. And the tune makes something in me die a little.
November 29th, 2009 at 5:21 pm
why all the antisemitics persons must reply with their hostility opinions against jewish people also when we talk about the world of songs?! please keep your thoughts to yourselves!!
there is not enough by politics, newspapers, news , protests?
the song is cool with hebrew words that means good energy, blessing and peace like cheers or congratulation and so.
so for all the automatic haters , dont listen if its disturb you.

January 7th, 2010 at 2:08 am
u guys are suburb i love it really nice
January 14th, 2010 at 9:17 pm
don’t overlook that they use “mazel tov” in these days of questioning the right for israel to exist, this is a good way to brainwash our youth..i mean just look how many kids went to search what the hell mazel tov meant, now they see the BEP using it…it’s all a zionist strategy, and more proof that jews run all media.
January 21st, 2010 at 6:03 am
Go BEP, sobrang ganda ng song nyo.
To Apl.de.ap: we’re so proud of you!
January 21st, 2010 at 12:27 pm
Amazing… a conspiracy theory about a song? Hmmm…. there is a new one! :) It is a good song.. if you don’t like Hebrew being used then you can turn off your radio. Freedom of speech (including artistic expression) is one of the founding principles this country. Enjoy it for the purpose of it’s creation… to make people happy, have fun and enjoy life a little bit more! Please take your hatred elsewhere!
January 22nd, 2010 at 11:23 am
most top chart singles contains karbala (jewish black magic) in order to gain more listeners.

March 1st, 2010 at 7:41 pm
My god a lot of you can’t spell and I’m 13! OK here’s what I think…
1.The Black Eyed Peas kick ass.
2.They are HEBREW not JEWISH words. Jewdaism is a religion, not a language. Where as Hebrew is.
3.You must all like the BEP since you’ve researched this on the internet. Am I correct? Well why don’t you take a lesson out of their book and listen to ‘Where is the love’ thoroughly. Then you shall be speechless, my racist, hate-loving, plain stupid friends! ( See I call you all my friend because, hey, I’m a nice guy ;) )
4. If you don’t like it, I’m sorry, tell me when you release a number one album and then you can have a go at me.
Thank you.
P.S My joint favorite song with ACDC Back in black :D

There are ppl of many religions that speak Hebrew in Israel. I’ve lived there and there are not just Jews but Christians, Muslims and others that know and speak Hebrew to others. Though Hebrew is equated with Jews…I know many others who speak Hebrew as well. It’s sad that there are ppl (mostly anti-Semites) who take issue w/ the use of these Hebrew words. If these words were in Spanish I bet this convo wouldn’t happen. “They” say they are Jewish words…they are Hebrew words. Hebrew is a language. It is the language of the Jewish people…but I know of great priests who speak Hebrew too… go to the churches. So stop w/ this anti-Semetic stuff….and enjoy the song for what it is. A feel good song.

Do you really mean that we must focus on 2 words of the song??
You´re sick, I don´t understand how´s important judaism and jewish life in this world.
In stead of enjoying the song , we find 27 people discssing about judaism, this is enough. I don´t catch it.
Anyway,it´s a fantastic song as every product of Mr. Jewdid Guetta
Shalom everyone :)

Just a comment - to those who just have the knowledge of a 2 year old child, “Jewish” is not a language (WFT?) It’s a religion.
Hebrew is the language these words are taken from.
I understand that to some people it doesn’t make any difference but it i like saying that in the US they speak “American” when it is English (well, at least some of them still speak english… others hhh… speak some new language with words like shizl and nizl… :) )
Anyway - Hebrew, ok? It’s Hebrew.

Mazal Tov and LeHayim are in the same language of Amen and Halleluya - Hebrew. Billions of people are using these words and the Bible was written in the same language. Just a reminder.

Hello, i’m a professional dancer. i’d like to see to make a showreel pertaining to my promotions. I also want to use some animation. Can someone suggest me a superb animation studio, but certainly not very expensive? I’m here for 3 months for a tour.
Love
Kim.

I love David Guetta, if he was my Rabbi I would certainly listen to his sermons.

i love this song and i think it’s a grate song. and i think that using jewish words just gives more color to the song. and i dont know why some wise guys find it offending. and by the way you cannot say that you can use hebrew words only if you are jewish ’cause david guetta IS a jew. and please, have some respect.
