Britney Spears - 3 Lyrics

1, 2, 3
Not only you and me
Got one eighty degrees
And I’m caught in between
Countin’
1, 2, 3
Peter, Paul & Mary
Gettin’ down with 3P
Everybody loves ***
Countin’
Babe, pick a night
To come out and play
If it’s alright
What do you say?
Merrier the more
Triple fun that way
Twister on the floor
What do you say?
Are - you in
Livin’ in sin is the new thing (yeah)
www.musicloversgroup.com
Are - you in
I am countin’!
1, 2, 3
Not only you and me
Got one eighty degrees
And I’m caught in between
Countin’
1, 2, 3
Peter, Paul & Mary
Gettin’ down with 3P
Everybody loves ***
Countin’
Three is a charm
Two is not the same
I don’t see the harm
So are you game?
Lets’ make a team
Make ‘em say my name
Lovin’ the extreme
Now are you game?
Are - you in
Livin’ in sin is the new thing
Are - you in
I am countin’!
1, 2, 3
Not only you and me
Got one eighty degrees
And I’m caught in between
Countin’
1, 2, 3
Peter, Paul & Mary
Gettin’ down with 3P
Everybody loves ***
What we do is innocent
Just for fun and nothin’ meant
If you don’t like the company
Let’s just do it you and me
You and me
Or three
Or four
On the floor

  4. hollie Says:

three words people “freedom against censorship” Britney doesn’t tell you what you should or shouldn’t say so don’t try to tell her. if you don’t like what she saying then turn the station. its a simple as that. don’t try to force your beliefs or opinions on others. what makes you right and her wrong? I love Britney and I choose to listen to her because i have that choice and so do you so if you don’t like it get over it :) KILLER SONG BTW (just added it to my myspace) lol im a nerd ;)

  5. Ronnie Says:

  7. Daniel Says:

    1, 2, 3

  13. Christophe Says:

It s just Britney !! U are the great like this song ! Cool , dance , provocation . all what i like

  14. Ryan Says:

U GO GIRL! BRITNEY I F*IN LOVE YOU!!!

  15. Mervi Says:

I think the song is great! Nothing surprises me with Britney. COme on she admited to the world that everyone wants to “find Amy”! So why not have it in 3’s?? GO BRIT!!!THE SONG IS GREAT!

  16. Big D Says:

Interesting… “Cool , dance , provocation . all what i like” … ****ing idiots. freedom of speech is something to be taken serious given that you understand it’s purpose. “OMG! I LOVE IT BRITNEY I LOVE YOU,i just sing this song.” really? omg! Do your really love Britney? do you care that she is using her fame to perpetuate your children (God help us all) adherence to desires that will result it agony, pain and death with a consequent purposeless life (i.e., threesomes are likely to perpetuate disease)? Is this what you love? What has she actually done for the benefit of our society (if someone is dumb enough to answer back that she “gave some money to something” then you really didn’t understand the questions)? Then again, what have you done (again, if you are dumb enough to restate the question you don’t deserve to talk)?

“Don’t be so serious”? I thought you would say that, think about it “shithead,” am I talking about the highest form of human emotion know? Is using general logic serious or is love serious?

  17. Jessie Says:

This is a stupid song! Anyone can make up bullsh*t like this.

  18. Rayne Says:

Awesome, just sent it to my girlfriend… ..

    Rayne

  19. klipple Says:

Weird lyrics but if you soccermoms have a problem with your 3 kids listening to “what ruins our youth”, then turn the station! It’s a freakin’ awesome song.

  20. sexyso Says:

hahaha amazing!!! Britney knows how to push the limits!!! come on, for sure it has a sexual meaning but who cares, its freakin britney!!!! lol

  21. 0.0 Says:

hahahaha just awesome a song about a three way, can it get any betther?? XD :D

  22. Z Says:

I think it’s a pretty fun song, it’s catchy and the lyrics are amusing.
Britney has talent, and if you want to know what she contributes to society then go to one of her concerts and see the fans.

Hopping on to a forum to randomly criticize really calls into question what you are contributing to society. The measure of contribution should be based on the opinions of others, not of your own.

Britney is awesome in the eyes of one hell of a lot of people.

People have been crying about what random activites celebrities are up to as long as there have been celebrities to cry about.

Point is, this song rocks, and Britney is awesome.

  23. christine Says:

i wouldn’t say this song is awesome i love most of her stuff but this i’m just so-so about. it has nothing to do w/the lyrics i think they are ok its more so the way it is sang and the beat to it it seems to little kiddish to me. also i agree its not like she is trying to tell your kids to go out and have sex w/whoever its just a song so get over it people shes not trying to brainwash or force anyone to have threesomes. ITS JUST A SONG!!!

  24. JaJa Says:

How can people even be so quick to say that the song is about sending a “bad message”… perhaps its a cunning play on words and we as humans are just perceiving it as being sexual. Maybe it is about 3 people getting down on the dancefloor, perhaps what is said in the first verse…. And this isnt half as bad as the X rated rap shit that plays nonstop on the radio…. or lady gaga?!?!?!?

  25. Jimmy Says:

I LOVE IT!!! ohhh B Spears you rule this school XXXXXXXXXXXXXXD. im getting married and this song is going to play while soon to be wife walks down the isle……god she is a genius.

  26. CLAUDIA Says:

DON’T BE ENVY!! THE GIRL IS A FREAKIN GENIUS! LET HER CREATIVITY FLOW! SHE’S THE NEW QUEEN OF POP AND SHE CAN DO WHATEVER SHE WANTS!
    GO GIRL! YOU ROCK!

  27. Nait Says:

hahaha the *** is supposed to mean sex lol the whole song is about a three some

    ***I love it***

  28. saraya Says:

    I love the song!!!
    Go britney!!

    I love itt!!

  29. Lucie Says:

Not at all good. The others songs of hers are much much better
    !

  30. gdsfs Says:

I dont really care about the lyrics but seriously it sound really awful no talent and thats not even singing plus that beat is horrible

  31. TAIOUS Says:

OH GOD THAT SONG IS SOOOOOO AWESOME. I´m in venezuela and i have a friend that works at a radio station and now because of me they are playing it on national radio. thank you britney i love your music. your music (and lyrics) are an inspiration to everybody specially in venezuela. hope you come down here to perform some day (soon)!!!

  32. Finnan Says:

I LOVE THIS SONG!!! Fact is, Britney only performs it!! The writers are clearly underneath the song!!
Holly.. Calm down!! Who cares..? Every1 has the right to speech..
One question.. Has this been released here in the UK?
    ‘Mon the Britney <3

  33. Kristeen Says:

    -_______-”
what is so wrong about sex ?
people do it one day anyway -_-”

  34. Some Guy Says:

In response to entry 16, while I do not “freakin’ love Britney” (in fact, the thought of her makes me cringe), I think that your response only validates the effectiveness of her songs. Her lyrics are intended to get god-fearing people like yourself to respond with outrage, and this only intensifies the hype. The best thing you can do to reduce her fame is to not add to it with comments such as that.

As for the benefit for society- she has supplied where there was demand. This is capitalism, not communism or socialism. Not all jobs are in place for the “greater good.”

  35. Melissa Says:

I am a soccer mom *LOL* but the difference between me and them is the fact that if I dont want my kids listening to it, I change the station. If you teach your kids good morals and yes how to be a respected young woman, then you shouldn’t have anything to worry about. I was a teen myself, but I was able to have open communication with my parents about things. The communication between us is what kept me on the right path… it wasn’t sheltering me from everything… thats just ridiculous

If you try to hide things from your kids (and im not saying tell them everything) they are going to be more prone to want to explore all the things you’ve hid from them…

With that said I think its a good dance song. But being a soccer mom I dont club so much so what-ev

  36. laura Says:

GO BRITNEY!!! YOU ARE THE BEST!!!i like the song

  37. han Says:

Everybody loves “SEX” since there’s three asterix symbols? :) love love love the song!

  38. the Man Says:

    Its Everybody Loves Three somes.

  39. Michael Says:

I love this song. shes and her producers are so creative when it comes to catchy shake your a ** kinda songs. she is the best!

  40. Bivi Says:

Wtf? all her songs are about SEX this song is about her having a 3 some which is stupid.Shes not re model.

  41. Brittany Says:

I LOVE the beat and sound of this song!!!!!! I’m a dancer and was choreographing a cha-cha to this song…but then i looked up the lyrics cuz i was wondering what she was talking about and i completely changed my mind. This is ridiculously NASTY! cool, fun sounding but beyond just flat out nasty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  42. lauren Says:

OMG!!!i love this song i play it alotttt. nd i really dont think it sends a bad message its your kids chose to choose to do whatever including having sex with three people i think they are right relax its just a song people like it nd its a really good song<3

  43. carly Says:

haha everybody needs to calm down its just a song!! and lets face it its pretty awesome.

  44. Ross Says:

Okay. This song rocks for several reasons: 1. It’s Britney…duh. 2. It’s like a mashup blend of alot of her different song styles in one song. 3. The words can actually kinda be taken in a few different meanings. It doesn’t necessarily have to be about sex. Though it is… but still.
So yeah, if you don’t like the song, don’t listen. Britney is an ADULT, she is no longer a teenager, singing to other teenagers. She sings to her new fans, but most of the people listening to her now were her age in 1998 when she started out, and OMG her first ever single was about sex! GASP! Matter of fact MOST of her songs have all been about sex. Especially on the more recent albums. But she has always had songs about sex on each album. Parents need to GROW UP and learn that if they dont want their kids listening to it, then don’t let them. Britney’s music is not for kids. Its more for the mature audience. I don’t understand why everyone makes a big deal about her music being about sex when it has been so for eleven years now since she started back in 1998. Get over it people, find something new to bitch about. This song KICKS ASS, as do ALL of Britney’s songs! Rock on Brit!

  45. S Says:

LOVE IT!!!! Britney is the BEST!!! oh and yes I will allow my 4 year old to listen and sing it at the top of her head, WHY?
Because I work in a mall (music store, no jokes) and hear 10 year olds talking about this same stuff and WORSE!
Embrace it parents! Kids are getting older faster, and I don’t think it’s because of songs like this….the reason will shock you!!!

YOUR THE REASON! YOU CAN’T AFFORD TO SPEND TIME WITH THEM, BECAUSE YOU ALL HAVE BUSY LIVES TO LIVE! YOU FORCE THEM TO GROW UP FASTER THAN THEY SHOULD BE!

My daughter may listen to Britney, Lady GaGa, Katy Perry, but she also listens to Taylor Swift, and Miley Cyrus. She knows what swear words are and does not repeat them at all!!! She’s 4!

KEEP IT UP BRITNEY!!! KEEP PUTTING OUT MUSIC THAT PEOPLE (like my daughter and I) CAN HAVE DANCE PARTIES TOO!!

  46. XYZ Says:

To daniel and others wondering>>> the *** at the eand of the everybody loves where it’s sensored actually should say *F-U-ing*.. im sure you can figure out the actual word. i wont spell it out for fear that the conservitave ears on hear might freak out if the see the censored word spelled out! anyways hope that helps!

  47. Kat Says:

LOOOOOOVEEEEEEE!! this song! best one to date :)

  48. Amanda Says:

*sigh* We live in a fallen world… you will never be able to protect your children from all the temptations that are out there… just as you were not completely protected… so you teach them about life decisions and how the choices they make can affect them for a short time or potentially the rest of their lives… it is not britney, nor anyone else’s responsibility to raise YOUR children… if this song is the absolute worst thing anyone ever encounters… seriously they should be counted as lucky! *on another note* keep on keepin’ on brit! there’s bunches of us that love to sing and dance to your songs just ‘cuz we love to sing and dance… since we only live once, we may as well be happy doing it!

  49. O Says:

Britney… You’re such a w***e but I love you to death! And this song kicks ass! I think some of us get so excited when we hear a song about a person who’s so confident and open and free about his/her sexuality, because we all wish we were too, though it might be “shocking” at first, or socially questionable or whatever, but hey, at least she’s gettin’ some ;) Don’t we all wish we were?

  50. Cheerleader Says:

Somebody had read it the post? Who wrote this song? Max Martin. He is a talent. I think this man the last 15 years many successful pop songs written. I won’t be doubt Britney’s great performances, but everybody know, she “play back” on the floor. Thats the point, and I shall not buy ticket for her show.

  51. franchisebritney Says:

I am only going to say this one time. Britney is great. Britney rocks in, everynight is a blur on the radar, and it is like I am intoxiced by her. This new song “3″ is just like everyone is on the floor and she is sexy “180 degrees” so if “you seek amy” then this song is for you if not to bad get it.

  52. Carla Says:

Yes , Britney is grown but I will pray for her. Singing “Living in sin is the new thing” is diffently something to worry about for her soul. You can tell she is a confused young lady but there is hope God loves Britney just as he does me. Hopefully one day before its too late I will pray she finds the Lord God as her saviour. Proud to be a christian in Georgia. I have three teenagers that are worried for Britney as well and plan to keep her in there prayers.

  53. Lauren Says:

    Sounds good, absolutely terrible message.

  54. Kate Says:

    i love this song
    it is so Cool
    Britney is awsome

  55. Crystal Says:

I love this new song… Hell of a come Britney.. Keep it up babe

  56. abi Says:

I absolutely love the song!!! The beat, the lyrics, everything..
    Carla you’re SO dramatic!!

  57. diana Says:

I LOVE BRITNEY SPEARS AND I THINK THIS IS HER ONE OF HER BEST SONG!!! KEEP SINGING BRITNEY I LOVE YOU

  58. kaitlin Says:

Britney I freakin love you and this song along wit all the others is awesome!! Great beat and so what bout the lyrics if you don’t like it don’t listen to it!!!! Keep it up brit…..

  59. Kate22 Says:

This song soundz cool. I did like it at first. I really didn’t catch on to the meaning till like after 3 times listening. It’s a typical “Britney” song, of course it’s popular, but I do think that a song about a threesome is NOT kewl at all!!
It maybe “FUN” for people who are into that. I’m not into that,& this song prob wont make me! I know everyone says “”ït’s just a song”" but c’mon people SONGS & WORDS DO have the power to INFLUENCE!! She’s saying “” Living in SIN is the NEW thing”"…..
    New Thing= Trend/cool!!
People, u Do NOT want to LIVE in SIN, no matter how Fun or satisfied u feel. If u want to know why the hec not, just read the Bible. Neways the scariest thing is when you see innocent young kids just singing away to the radio with all these “”cool/hot songz”" of today’s sex crazed/bootylicious generation!!

  60. Kate22 Says:

in response to comment #45 “S”

Kids are growing up faster, I agree..
There are young kids talking about or entertaining the idea of things they really shouln’t,
& yes it is up to parents to teach their kids what’s appropriate & what’s not/ Right/Wrong….we all learn by what we
See & how People Live & Talk!!
I’m not by any means trying to tell people how to raise their kids, not my business, But I just have one question…
Your daughter is 4 yrs old, & your reason to justify Her/ or You not minding Her listening & singing to a Britney song that is all about a Sexual Threesome, is because you know that other kids are exposed to it so it’s okay??

  61. tyty Says:

i love it and really alot of children dont listen to her music. When i went to the concert in d.c i noticed a lot of more older girls and guys a lot of them had drinks in hand and were getting down to her music. I think a lot of her fans are fans from when brit first came out on the scene much like i am. I liked her when i was 7 and at 17 i love her even more. I love the fact she went crazzy for everyone to see because it made her seem more like a human and not some pop star that cant do anything wrong. But no one ever mentions hoe she is the top selling female artist of the decade. about 87 million albums worldwide… thats an accomplishment…..go brit!!!

  62. zaha Says:

catchy. i like it. and i never take the words to songs like this seriously. i don’t know why anyone would:)

another thing, there have always been bad kids raised by ridiculous adults. no matter what song exists or doesn’t exist this will always be the case. if you’ve lost control of your children you let that go long ago. your children should be able to know what’s inappropriate pretty quickly if you were diligent. my son knew very well by the time he was 5. you can’t blame everything that is out of your control.

  63. !Jessica! Says:

I love this song. It’s a good dance beat.

  64. Kelley Says:

Britney is pure genious. Even tho we must all remember the “SONG-WRITERS”, obviously she did not write this song. Love the beat and her song, britney never changes who she is-just her appearance!go girl.

And dear holly- sorry but you should know by now not to let your kids listen to britney;) I am 22 and have grown with britney, and this is our youth-like it or not.

    <3 xo

  65. Lanel Says:

first can i just say its a f***ing song. im only 20 but if you listen to the songs that came out when my parents were young they are a lot worse than this, theyre just sung in a different way. i hate when people say stuff like how songs like these are ruinging our society if you dont kike it or dont want to listen to it im sure you kno how to turn the radio or tv channel seriously poeple will find any excuse to bring someone down but deep inside ur nothin but a hater because she’s making money and ur not get over it

  66. Mina Says:

The censored part is a moan.

  67. valen Says:

    dis song is very energic,,

    i like that,,

  68. david Says:

this is the second craziest one after justin’ mother song… world gone crazy but its just fun for money:D hahahaha

  69. resh Says:

well i do like the song but growin up in church as did brit for her to sing about living in sin being ok…..is sad. just a bad message if she wants to sing about sex and drugs and porn ok but that was cross the line. but i like it just probably wont b listenin to it.i just hope she is happy bc this was the path she was on b4 her mental melt down. same as marilyn monroe, josephine baker, anna nicole and promicuious women. would hate to see that again. i still love u brit that toxic song was hott!

to finalize my thought on promiscuios women usually arent happy w themselves and do things that will please others instead of themselves and keeping their morales it will wear u down…believe me.

  70. Mia Says:

i just love this song.this song is not all about sex so people just chill.and britney still rocks u idiots who dont like her!

  71. Dani Says:

Haha, I laugh at all the Christian’s out there “praying” for her due to a song… She’s not confused. She knows EXACTLY what she’s doing. While all of you are sitting here typing whether or not you hate her, you’re giving her publicity. Exactly what she wants. She’s brilliant in the fact that she gets your attention, good or bad. She has pure control over you. Instead of complaining about her and wasting your time typing stuff out about how horrible she is, start spending more time with your kids and ignore Britney Spears. I absolutely adore Britney. Her messages are tense. Before her was Madonna, exploiting sex. Britney is doing the same thing but directing it more towards how our society is now. How are you people so shocked to see and hear “horrible” lyrics? Honestly, why are you sitting here analyzing her lyrics? Gah, I’m babbling. I love Britney :] She keeps me dancing and forgetting my problems. I don’t see harm in that.

  72. katie Says:

jesus wouldn’t be happy with this at all “livin in sin is the new thing” thats crazy and all i can do is pray for you britney!

  73. Britney.Joukhdar Says:

I love the song soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much my name is Britney also and im going to Britney Spears Concert November but anyways Britney is the Best. She smashes Mariah Carieh hate her!

  74. Jennifer Says:

LMAO. This song is terrible. Post #45 is about the biggest of them all, and people like #45 are why the world is the way it is. Gag me. You people are pathetic. You think Britney Spears is the best thing since sliced bread. Get a life. If she has so much talent, why is she using that thing with her voice? It sounds terrible.

I wouldn’t let my dog listen to this ridiculous song; much less my children! But that’s me. If the rest of you want your 4 year olds to listen to sh*t like this, go for it. Be sure to tell them to get a job when they get older too, so my morally and politically INCORRECT 4 year old won’t have to support them. LOL.

  75. Jessica Says:

Actually, Big D, people that perform in 3 sums often have less STI’s then people that don’t. You are obviously not imformed well about the subject. It may seem that it should be the other way around, but statistics and research prove that it’s the other way around. People the have 3 sums are a lot more careful and have proven to have less probelms. Anyway, besides from that it’s a graet song. It’s catchy and has a good beat. If you don’t like it then change the station and stop complaining like a little four year old.

  76. Erin Says:

Britney’s fans aren’t little kids anymore… I’m 26 and have been a fan since I was 16. She doesn’t need to be appropriate and cater to sensitive child ears. She rocks her raunchy lyrics and I love it! It’s provocative and controversial and that’s why I still love her. She has stayed relevant to her own age of girls. Go Britney!!!

  77. Amira Says:

I looooove Britney!!!!!!!! I think that parents need to calm down about the song being about sex. Like other people said on here, her songs have always been about sex, they just weren’t so upfront about it. If you don’t agree with her messages, then just don’t listen to her! When she started in 1998, she was 16 and I was 11. I’m 22 now, and the audience she’s reaching is from about 18 or so and older. She’s not singing songs for teenagers anymore. I don’t think it’s fair to judge her either. Just because she sings about something doesn’t mean that other people will start believing in it. If you raised your children right, then they know right from wrong and will make the right choices. I listened to a lot of music at a young age that I shouldn’t have (such as Marilyn Manson) and it didn’t have an affect on me because my parents taught me right from wrong. But I’m still a Manson fan, and an Eminem fan. Doesn’t mean I agree with what they say. Anyway, quit hating on Britney. There are other people out there who sing for children such as Miley Cyrus, Jonas Brothers, etc.

    I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE BRITNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!! =)

  78. shannon Says:

It is just a song. Its got a racy message but no big deal right? I mean charlie manson was simply delivering a message. So was david koresh. Not saying britney is the next hitler…just saying that messages are read into and followed through. Most of you say that’s its just a song and take it on its entertainment value. Some blindly follow britney and will make every excuse for her. the fact of the matter is people are influenced by music and television. Open your eyes and stop lying to yourselves! But those that do speak out against it and act on what the song says are giving the music that power. Be your own person. Stop buying spinning rims and acting like a slut because of the music. Parents be there for your children more. Stop sheltering them and be there more to explain things in the correct way. Acting all crazy about the song the message sends gives it power.

You have a choice not to listen to it but so do your children. The more you cover their ears, the more curious they will be. The music industry is a problem, but you are the enabler. Be there for your children and explain things in a way that they understand. If your kids see a scary movie and become afraid you explain to them that its just a movie and they accept that. So when a song comes out that says “look at me I’m a total slut”. Explain to them that its just a song and should not read into it. Explain to them that the people who listen and believe are all very weak and will never amount to anything if they don’t come to realize that.

Those of you that take offense to this message are the guilty that I’m talking about. Be honest with yourself and those you love. Accept that and fix it if you’re tired of being a puppet.

  79. annie Says:

I think this is about being on the dance floor. Look at the last line. Its almost playing with your mind throughout the song, then saying “your mind is in the gutter, I meant on the dance floor”…
It is catchy, but hardly the best song. You people need to calm the hell down…

  80. Jesse Says:

Wow…and some people actually wonder why men and women have such little respect for one another and relationships don’t last.

  81. Kristina Says:

Haha, wow it is amazing how Brintey still offends you. I mean. Really? Are you really that shocked?

Its a fun song and its not for kids and as I recall no one told any of your kids to listen to Britney, that is you allowing them to. They shouldn’t be listening to radio she is played on because, sweetie, she isn’t the filthiest so get over it.

  82. B. S. Says:

Hey guys you should calm down, it’s just a song, I think Britney is a great artist and a great performer through her songs people can find someone who understands them, & really everybody wants TO SEEK AMY!!! Even you prayers!!! Besides soccer moms you should try a 3 some sometime because I’m sure thar your husbands are having one right now, he’s not working late, he’s having fun with some bitches that doesn’t already have some stick up theit ass right now!!! LOL

    LOVE… BS

  83. Rach Says:

so i basically love this song since i first heard it…didnt know the lyrics at first minus a few parts so hey i looked it up and that just shows that even without the lyrics her beats are still sick…but who cares the song is about sex…seriously who cares…? to the parents just change the station or something and stop complaining, it could be alot worse =] still love britney have since she first stepped into music

  84. O.P Says:

Wooow…! Brıtney ıs superr ..a good songs …yo’re number ONE I Love youuuu … ISTANBUL

  85. Christine Says:

I truly don’t care about the lyrics… What’s so wrong about sex? WHO CARES. The song is still freaking awesome and Britney is the BEST!!!!
If people don’t like, why listen to it? :) I love it, and don’t care if the song is about sex or not. GO BRITNEY!

  86. CaliKat Says:

thank you erin! who said her music is for little kids?!?! kids have that montana girl and the bone-us brothers to listen to now. if you don’t like it, there’s always the option of not listening to it… whatever you do, quit crying like a baby about it. oh, and quit sheltering your kids! you’re raising them to be co-dependant pus***s. keep on keepin on britney.

  87. sivan Says:

ACTUALLLLLLY Britney Spears doesnt even WRITE these songs!!! sooo first off dont go getting mad at BRITNEY! shes growing older and so are her fans…
if you are a parent you know to keep that stuff from your kids ;) plus the kids probably dont even know what shes saying.
Her songs all seem to have very sexual lyrics to it…but hey another thing to write about. everyone has their own opinion and style ;)

  88. Mishelle Says:

I admit its a catchy song, good for club/dance stuff. :) I had no idea Britney Spears was even making a new album after “Circus” until I heard this “1 2 3″ song on the radio and was like, “wth, Britney?” LOL. I’m a so-so fan of Britney’s, she got her start when I was in middle school (junior high) so I guess I’m part of the generation/fangroup that “grew up” with her, hehe….my point, anyway, is that overall this song is, in my opinion, a “meh” song, its okay, not one of her best, but its interesting to hear her new style…. and even though I’m not a fan, I’m glad to see her having a succesful, popular career again, after all that crap in her personal life….. Anyway. My opinion of the lyrics here is, its a more simpler version of the trick heard in “If You Seek Amy”, ya know? Much less sexually ambiguous, to be sure, but the last bit during the bridge, “…on the floor…” is the punchline. So relax people. :)

  89. big band fan Says:

Nice role model for younger people, no wonder teen pregnancy is such a problem. Basically emphasizes that 3 way sex is mandatory. Hope the government’s new health care plan can afford the inevitable teen pregnancies and VD.

  90. Kayla Says:

I’m responding to post 16 as well (not that he’ll ever read it), but you said it’s an outrage that Britney talks about 3 somes because 3 somes causes diseases. Interesting. We’ll can’t any form of sex do that? What’s your point? What about Madonna, or Micheal Jackson or Billy Idol who sang of similar topics? 3 somes, sex, drugs, and violence are out there in the world. Sorry to say (if you have a daughter) she’s gonna do what she’s gonna do regardless of a song. If your a good parent you talk to your kids and you explain to them right and wrong and hope to God that when they leave the house they do the right thing. If she gets pregnant at 16 are you really going to blame it on Britney Spears and her lyrics? No, it’s your parenting. Growing up, I never once heard a teenage girl say “I do it cause Britney Spears does it!” Stop worrying about song lyrics and more so who your kids are hanging out with! Saying what you think and how you feel should not be looked down on. If you don’t like it, simply don’t listen, but please don’t sit there and patronize us about your beliefs. It’s annoying. Thank you

  91. K-Fed Says:

Does britney ever did threesome? Or, she’s just writing the song?

  92. It's me Says:

Love this song!! As for all you people freaking out about the message in this song, get over it. Hasn’t Britney’s music always been about sex? Better yet, isn’t most of the music out there about sex or about doing something sinful? Of course it is but we look past the other people’s sketchy songs. You ignorant people on here freaking out thinking this will influence your children, you are WRONG! I have been a Britney fan since she first came out, I am now 20 and still a virgin. Shocking huh? I have been with my boyfriend for 3 years but I’m not gonna go out and do everything that Britney sings about. I control what I do, not Britney. But I still listen to her music and love the hell out of it. Keep doing your thing Brit, let the haters hate.

  93. juanita Says:

Um dont mean to sound stupid but the song is about dancing with more then one person getting down and dirty dancing? love britney but this one and womansier that everybody loves seem repetitious and annoying.. even so cant wait until her nov concert in sydney yaye!
one more thing that was supposed to be a question? dancing thats how I interpreted it and even though its annoying and I will prob be singing all arvo now from listening to it once I love going out dancing and having fun I dont know what the sex part is about? call me daft but sounds like 3 ppl 4 or more having fun bumping and grinding dancing in a club?

  94. Cyn Says:

Britney and I are the same age, and I’v been listening to her since she started…she has always been forward about sex. Remember when she kissed Madonna on stage? And speaking of Madonna, the 80’s equivalent of Britney, I’ve listened to her ever since I can remember and I turned out fine…I know right from wrong and it’s my choice what I do with that knowledge. I agree that she’s appealing to the same crowd she has always targeted - people her age. We’re growing up, gettin’ down and having fun. BUT I will say, I wish the line “living in sin is the new thing” would be taken out, because truly that isn’t cool, but other than that, the song is AWESOME!! Crazy b*tch but it works for her!

  95. mon Says:

OMG some people are bunch of PRUDES! I’m a mom of 2 and it makes me wanna lol when I see comments like.. you’re all going to hell, cause of some lyricks. If you look up to celebrities to educate your kids then I feel sorry for you and them.Let that girl grow up already,Brit is not going to remain 15 forever, her audience has changed over the years.I don’t think any kids really know and care who Britney is,they’re too mcuh into JB and HSM…
Why don’t we just crusify her cause she’s singing about threesome,foursome..OMG HAVE SOME YOURSELF!Its called SEX..SEX is NOT a bad thing, maybe some of you should chill and have some more of it!

LOOOOOOOOOOOOL,Im still laughing…and the comment#1 just made me spill my tea..I guess the name HOLLY really goes with the context..

ok time to go,better things to do…

  96. Tashh Says:

i think i speak for everyone when i say we have better things to do then worry about artists and their songs

hey for the people that enjoy it, enjoy it, for the people that are hating, stop lisning! as if the whole world itself doesnt corrupt kids you cant protect them forever and i seriously dont think your hate mail will get you far

i personally like the song because its catchy, lyrics are just a part of a song i find it pretty hilarious people are getting so offended. She is an artist and her goal is to create something that will shock in both good and bad ways so shushh cuz ur onli makin her more famous

    go brit

  97. Han Says:

agree with Z. she’s a singer..wtf does she need to do to “benefit society”? answer: nothing. BRITNEY IS F***IN AWESOME..period.

  98. Soleil Says:

It amazes that the people who comment on these song lyrics in a negative way (i.e. posts #52, 72, etc…) have a ‘holier-than-thou’ attitude, when…hm, I believe that you are LOOKING UP THE LYRICS TO A SONG ABOUT THREESOMES?!

Get real people, sex has been a part of music and ESPECIALLY pop music for as long as it’s been around! we all know that! so it should be no surprise that a pop star like Ms. Spears has lyrics that involve *gasp!* sexual undertones!
It’s how she makes her living people.
There is no conspiracy to brainwash your children, and if they’re so easily swayed that you think they’ll hear this song and want to do what it implies, then they’re missing a f**king backbone, and a brain anyway, and are a lost cause.

post #34 hit the nail on the head when they mentioned that the fact that all of you ‘god fearing people’ who are going to ‘pray for her soul’ get on here and become outraged by this is fuel to the RAGING fire!

Helllooooo…that’s what drives the music industry people, REACTION!

Just remember, even if you’re making a comment about how much you hate Britney, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS BAD PRESS.
By opening your mouth at all, you just lost the battle.

  99. jessicamariezerener Says:

    i lovee britney!!!! =)
Me and my besti jeanna sing it everydayy lol =]

  100. Karen Says:

WOW. number 74, i can agree that her lyrics are not suitable for children, and this song shouldn’t be played on the radio before ten pm. but to blast about your daughter being politically incorrect like its a good thing? congratulations, you have succeeded in producing another ignorant american child. my only hope is that your daughter has more brains then you do and can rise against the very low standards set for her. you should be ashamed of yourself. go read a damn book!

  101. Greg Says:

As soon as I heard this song I ran into the street, scored illegal drugs, boosted a case of condoms, stripped naked and began soliciting threeways and group sex from every person who crossed my path. I played the song continuously on my bose docked ipod nano and one person after another fell under the sirens (AKA Britney) hyponotic trance shedding their clothes to join in the Decadent (yet safe) orgy of carnal lust! Threeways fourways more ways!
Then I woke up! My parents taught me to treat others with respect. To see others points of view and never force or try to coerce someone to do something they didn’t want to do. Oh yeah, I almost forgot they also said try not to judge other people, be tolerant and kind and have a sence of humor. I have tried to follow those teachings throughout my life and Feel its served me well. I like the song and think Britneys given me some memorable entertainment through the years, From oops! to the vmas and now threeways. No she didn’t cure cancer or H1n1 or write any prolific life changing or reaffirming book, but she has sucessfully persued a career in a difficult field. If I didn’t care for the music for whatever reason I simply wouldn’t listen. I challenge everyone to stop avoiding the real issues that are facing our Society and help out our friends and neighbors by getting educated and involved and being part of the solution. Just donating one can of soup to your local food bank or offering your seat on the muni to an elderly person is a step in the right direction. If you are a parent or have contact with young people setting an example and spending quality time listening and talking openly with our children will help them differentiate between entertainment and real life and give them the tools to enjoy both.

  102. emmy Says:

I have to say I wasn’t a Britney fan back in the day…I’ve come around now and only have one thing to say…Britney is Bzack B***he’s!!!!

  103. CMP Says:

It’s no surprise. If you’re in the business long enough, you usually soak up the world and lose all sense of morality. What’s really sad is that she has two little boys that have to grow up with HER as their mother. Pathetic role model.

  104. Danny Says:

LOL reading some of these comments really cracks me up. What I cant understand is if you don’t like Britney, then why on earth are you looking up her songs? Is it really that important for your to post your opinions that “OH MY GOD, Britney’s ruining our youth and contaminating society!” It’s just so idiotic, can you really be so naive? If you dont like it, DONT LISTEN TO IT. There’s nothing else to it. I’m a teenager, and personally, I’m a Christian and also a HUGE Britney fan, I think she’s great! And to all you parents out here who are writing about how “SHOCKING” (lol comment number 1 just made me laugh) Britney is, do you honestly think that Britney Spears is the worst thing teenagers are exposed to in the world? So stupid… I think she’s a good role model, actually. She’s very talented, hard-working and dedicated. Becoming one of the world’s biggest pop stars in the history of ever doesn’t just happen, it takes dedication which is a great quality of Britney’s we could all learn from. These are real topics out in the world, us kids are going to be exposed to them whether Brit-Brit sings about ‘em or not. It’s up to you as parents to teach us right from wrong. If you have any basic parenting skills whatsoever you’ll be able to tell your kids that you dont want them to have threesomes. And they’ll listen to you. In the meantime, let Britney be herself and do what she does best, ENTERTAIN. It’s not up to you to judge her, after all that’s God’s job isn’t it? NOT YOURS. And also, I personally believe that He’s a LOVING God who wouldn’t have given Britney her talent if he wanted to “damn her to hell” for using it. God definitely has a sense of humor, and he doesn’t mind if we let go and have a little fun every once in a while! :)
YOU ROCK BRIT! And the song is really, really good! One of your best! havent been able to get it out of my head.. but it doesnt ever get annoying! xD “1,2,3, not only you and me..” tell me that’s not catchy!

  105. Cori! Says:

lol, I love this song, in the car my 4 year old sister sings to this song. My mom doesn’t care, because my sister wouldn’t get the meaning to the song anyways XD! :)

  106. stacy Says:

All I have to say is, I really liked the song before I knew the lyrics. As I listened, I heard her say, “living in sin is the new thing.” Then I was like, oh no, here we go again. So I had to look up the lyrics and here we are. I’m a Christian so it just saddens me that this is another song that I can’t listen to because it goes against God.

  107. Jessica Says:

Shes obviously not realizing or caring about the impact she has on so many young girls. Does anyone still have morals?!?!?
I hope no one lets their daughters listen to this disgusting tramp!
(…And Thats MY Freedom of Speech)!!!

  108. tharu Says:

    1 2 3 THIS SONG ROCKS XXX

  109. BR Says:

i love this song so much. i am a really big fan of britneys now becasue of this song. she rocks my world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  110. Angel + Devil = me Says:

Omg who cares if she lip sinks she makes Awsumm as music and yea if u dnt like well get a life and dnt criticise everything she does u dnt lyk her music then dnt buy her cd’s and change da f**n radio station i love Britney and i love her songs even MOREEE :)

  111. sammy Says:

btw BRITNEY is not a tramp and my mum loves this song aswell as i do so who CARES u rock Brit

  112. Shapla Says:

this song is seriously the best when i first heard it on the radio i had no idea that it was britney i love the song!
but i dont like the video though it doesnt really match with the song…

  113. Dan Says:

Catchy, but this is pop junk. The song is so computer manipulated that anyone could sound good. The song shows no talent or soul.

  114. Courtnie Says:

I love Britney and I am all for freedom of speech…but this song is sooooo unappropriate. It is not so easy to always “turn the channel” when the song is being played…for instance, at a store in the mall. Unfortunately, adults have a RESPONSIBILITY, whether they like it or not,to be appropriate and to show common courtesy to others, which includes other’s children, that’s part of being an adult…and last time I checked it wasn’t responsible or courteous to advertise to anyone who will listen to how you have sex….especially when children can hear and sing along…Those who say that it is bad parenting if your child has heard it is obviously not a parent themselves because we can not put our children in a bubble…we sometimes have to rely on others to do the right thing….

  115. sarah Says:

ok ok everyone I love this song but then again i love anything that brit ever made shes the best and my idol but anyway everyone thats is COMPLAINING about the lyrics needs to take a pill and calm the fuck down its 2009 not 1950 lol and we are allowed to say whatever they write it she sings it and i would to and oh madona never sung anything inappropriate back in her day pleaseeee! give me a break and for some reason older ppl still like her so at this point they can freakin bite me

  116. shady Says:

that’s Britney 4 ya , she makes me proud!

  117. BritneyFan24 Says:

GO BRTITNEY !!! THAT SONG IS AMAZING ! BRITNEY 4 EVER THE BEST!

  118. Britneyspearsfan Says:

Thats awesome that she mentions Peter Paul and Mary!!! I wonder if Peter and Paul ever thought about getting it on with Mary Travers… I bet they took turns double teaming her corpse, maybe thats her fantasy!!! Stay Classy Britney Spears

  119. S-P-B(: Says:

Okay, well the song has a good beat and everything, but the message is HORRIBLE.!!! The mother who wrote comment #45 wow how immature could you be.? “Singing parties” really.? How old are you……? Britney can’t sing she has so many electronics and stuff added to make her sound like this. Wow “living in sin in the new thing” haha that’s horrible.! What has this world come to.?

  120. Eric Says:

Wow… Incredible how somebody that is a star can make young teenage girls think that she has talent! ahaha She can pole dance thats for shure(im not shure if that counts as a talent) but SHE DOSENT EVEN WRITE HER OWN SONGS!!!! And for those who think its just a song… You are wrong! The impact that she has on young teens and there sexuality is disastrous! And yes I choose to turn the channel but a young 15 year old probably wont and WILL think that a threesome is ok and a proof of love of somekind! And for the young girls that are reading this, try to think past the stardom and reflect on:if i want to be perceived as a woman with rights and a body that belongs to me, should i dress/think/act like someone who thinks/act/dresses like a prostitute? Ive seen those leggings(in the video) on a prostitute the other day!! NO JOKES SO please Boycott this whore that has a fan base of young girls (mostly) between 7 and 16 wich is population that is the most at risk!!

  121. roxana Says:

honey i love the song… but i though the video will be shoking and it isn´t, i hate the video and still love u :D bye

  122. kay-J Says:

I have to tell you if I had the sex appeal that Britney always has had, I’d do the video! I’ve had four sons, and still have a flat stommach and look great in a bikini, but come on, she just hits it out of the park EVERY time.

You go girl, back and better than ever!!

  123. B-Fan Says:

What you all need to realize is that Britney is no longer “bubblegum pop”. The generation that listened to her music back in the late 90’s and early 2000’s has grown up and grown beyond all that sugary-sweetness. Like others have commented, there is a lot worse out there and if you don’t like it, you don’t have to listen. Change the station if possible, and if it’s playing in a store…walk out.

  124. Shan Says:

For all of those that are worried about the message of the song:
I totally understand you, I get you. But the thing is that if the young generation takes on board all of this and do wrong when they know right from wrong; they haven’t been raised well enough. Let’s face it, every child needs to grow up soon enough and learn about stuff like this. you just have to trust you children enough to let them off their leash.
So there’s no point in worrying, and since I’m a chistian; the bible says that the world is only going to get worse anyways and there’s nothing we can do but hope and pray for those living in sin.
I think to be very honest; it matters where your heart is. If you listen to music like this and think all the wrong things then you’re in trouble, if not then don’t worry. No matter how hard you try to run away from all things bad in the world, there’s always something there. It’s sad but true.

By the way, not a fan of the song; not because of the message but because I’m into rock music and I had a random moment and decided to read these lyrics. :S

  125. jam Says:

    omg it is great:)

  126. Maria Says:

Am I the only one in the world who thinks she might be saying 3-pete?
Like when a team wins 3 games in a row. Or a singer has 3 great hits in a row?
    Does anyone else think that???

  127. Nicole Says:

i like the song!!!!! But i dont understand what she says when the 3 dots come up ? lol

  128. Jess Says:

Here are the ‘3′ reasons why i love the song three!
    1.It has a good beat!
2.Brittney Spears is singing it, she rocks!
3.Brittney spears was awesome and still is!
What can i brittney spears rocks!

If you Have a problem with BRITTNEY SPEARS! then you have problems!

  129. janie Says:

personally, i love it. and i love the video!! its a great club song cause its catchy and fun to sing along to and dance to. to the people who say this is “ruining our youth” and teaching kids bad lessons and such..why don’t you go examine most other pop songs on the radio? even rap uses more curse words and implies worse stuff than britney’s music does…

  130. jon Says:

Not surprising. The world is on the down turn fast. Just another step in the process, its sad. We all just quickly forgot Brittney’s total meltdown. She is obviously needing attention and doing whatever it takes. It’s a sad world out there.

  131. CJ Says:

LOVED IT ! as an atheist i loved the name of the 3 people she is talkin about ;) Peter, Paul & Mary… dont tell me thats not meant 2 be :-)

  132. sTEVE Says:

I’m so encouraged to read these powerful arguments! Let me summarize some of them:

    1. if you do a good job parenting, you’ll change the channel to protect your kids. And if you find the next station is playing Eminem, the next Lady Gaga, and the next Little Wayne, guess you gotta keep turning. Or, embrace Britney–hey, there are even worse things out there, so you can’t complain!

    2. if you raise your kids right, don’t complain about that thickening toxic cloud of bad messages and examples. They’ll make good choices in spite of them, ’cause we know well-raised kids never get overtaken by bad influences. As for those kids who are raised by bad parents or stressed out single parents — I guess we’ll just write them off, they are just unlucky.

    3. they’re just words, I don’t mind if my 4 year old daughter sings filth, she doesn’t understand yet how filthy it is. And when she does, I’ll tell her that singing filth is OK as long as she doesn’t actually believe the words she is singing. I’ll even sing the words for her until she learns them! And even if eventually she is influenced, it’s not important anyway, because who’s to say it’s not ok to live a hedonistic self-absorbed life? Even if God Himself did tell me, who’s God to tell me how to live?

    4. Relax, you take life too seriously! No real purpose to it. So enjoy the music, get blasted out of your minds, and shake your bodies! And also, isn’t it just the luckiest random thing that we live in this free society? Good thing it doesn’t require a responsible, discerning, self-sacrificing populace to sustain it!

  133. SK Says:

I can’t stop laughing at all the comments saying Britney is a genius. Really? And this song confirms that? First of all, Britney didn’t even write it. Secondly…a genius…really? If this song is the fruits of genius, we are doomed.

This song is disgusting. But you already know that. That’s why so many of you are extremely defensive in your comments. Sex is nothing to be ashamed of. It’s wonderful. But this song isn’t promoting a healthy monogamous sexual relationship. It’s promoting cheap sex.

  134. helen Says:

those lyrics are not even right its 1 2 3 not only you and me got one minute of dreams and im caught in between coutin 123 peter paul and mary gettin down with repeat everybody loves ohh. LOVE THIS SONG THO ANYWAY!

  135. Fuzzy Says:

Took me a while to figure out her message. I LOVE her songs and the secret messages hidden in them. Whether they’re sexual or not, I love solving her lyrical puzzles :)

Loved this song from the first time I heard it!! Love you Britney!!

  136. Kelly Says:

This is really good but not as good as Down

  137. marlin8888888888 Says:

this song rocks forget about holly

  138. Mrs. Says:

Everybody lay off this girl, she’s cute, can sing and dance and she’s making an honest living. If you don’t like it, don’t watch/listen to it. If you are afraid of your kids getting ‘ideas’ from it, too late, they have ideas of their own anyway. Get over it.

  139. kelsey Says:

Love the “living in sin” line and I’m a Christian. That is all.

  140. Elina Says:

    Oh Britney, youre cool!!!Elina, Russia

  141. Keily J. Says:

wow tis song is AMAZING !!!! any one who doesnt think that is just f***d up

  142. Shania Says:

I think the beat was fantastic and actually I did not pay enough attention to its lyrics and now I don’t think there is anything wrong with that bcz other singers sing like this too and if we wanna blame Britney, we should blame them all.anyway I like this song Keep going BRIT,don’t pay attention to ur critics :)))

  143. Logan Says:

i think this song is great. Erin said it all. and if you dont want your kids to hear it turn it off if you hear it.

  144. dhanshree Says:

    d song is awesome!!!!just luv it….

  145. LDG Says:

Seriously?? Nice beat to the song, but the words….really? You can’t come up with something more interesting than porno type of stuff about three-ways? Yeah, it’s “just a song”….but still not worth all this hoopla.

  146. FFS Says:

I have absolutely nothing against the message being portrayed here… but seriously, as far as songs go, this is pretty crappy. There is barely any substance to the lyrics, the beat is okay, but could have been done so much better. Overall, my question is, how on earth did this make it so far up in the charts?! FFS, I’m sure there are better ways to support the ‘message’ without popularizing such a pathetic excuse for a song…

  147. noname Says:

    1, 2, 3
    Peter, Paul & Mary
    Gettin’ down with 3P
Everybody loves *** i love *** too :P idk wat she ment by *** sex?

  148. xiangyanti Says:

    1 2 3 so sexxxxxxxxxxxxy mmmmuacch….. i love u britney, u r NAUGHTY girl

  149. Mirian Says:

    Britny is the best !

  150. melissa Says:

    song is the best(((((((((((((((

  151. lacy Says:

omg i love this songgggg!!!!!!!!!!! we have to dance to this song in school!!!!! its amazing!! britany spears is a GREAT artist!!!!

  152. The more you complain! Says:

I didn’t think you’d allow the truth, you post NAZI!!! You only want to hear one side of things, your side.. the BS side. Should have known, any thread with person turning on their post moderation is a worthless POS who can’t handle opposition.

  153. D Says:

Not my favorite, but not awful either.
Some of the comments are hilarious.
How does a threesome “perpetuate disease”?!
And what does the question “What has Britney done for society?” have to do with anything? She’s not running for office.
And yes, “giving money to something” is a legit arguement. I’d be surprised if the guy complaining had done more for children’s charities than she has.
I’m not even a Britney fan, but jeez, if you’re not either, do something more productive with your time than watching her videos online.
If you’re that passionate about it, organize a group protest or write some letters to the record label or congress, but posting your dislike of Britney Spears on a message board full of Britney Spears fans seems counterproductive.
