‘Kill the Lights‘ is the fourth track from Britney Spears’ sixth studio album, Circus, which is coming on December 2, 2008.
The song has been leaked to the internet on November 9.
Kill The Lights focuses on the star’s relationship with the paparazzi, the lights referring to flash bulbs. It’s a brilliant disco banger with an elastic bass line and plenty of spooky keyboard work.
During Kill The Lights Brit addresses her camera-toting tormentors with the brilliant line: “Is that money in your pocket or are you happy to see me?”.
The song was written by Marcella Araica, Luke Boyd, Nathaniel Hills and James Washington and produced by Danja and Jim Beanz.
“Kill the Lights” hasn’t been released as a single, however, Britney.com held a “Fan Fiction Contest” where fans could share there storyline for the video. The video premiered on the July27.
The fans consider the video to be a continuation of “Break the Ice“, as the “Break the Ice” music video ends stating “To Be Continued…”.
