This album is just amazing, it has slow songs, fast songs and fun songs, it’s great, it is one of the best albums released this year.
The song ‘Just a Dream’ is just great, I love it !

While most country stars go forward and reach for mainstream pop records, like Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood went in reverse. Her first disc had more than a few pop elements but this disc starts off with a foot stomper, “Flat on The Floor” and doesn’t let up with fiddles, twang and chorus after chorus that will make you want to shout them out of your car windows. To say she has made a solid country disc in the vein of vintage Reba or Dolly is an understatement.
Underwood has even learned some new vocal tricks, as if she needed more, “Get Out of This Town,” builds from an already assured vocal into a firestorm. Underwood isn’t afraid to just go with the vocal and give a stronger reading as well. That was evident in her cover of “I’ll Stand By You,” which was simply stunning.
“Carnival Ride,” is void of any weak tracks and this day and age that’s a rare finding, some are stronger than others but, Jebus, the girl is giving her all to prove that she’s a more than just a pretty face whom sings country, she’s trying to prove it’s in her blood. And when you hear “You Won’t Find This,” that brings about that sing songy chorus that Shania Twain loves so much, you’ll be a happy camper with your purchase.

The follow-up to the enormously successful SOME HEARTS, former American Idol winner Carrie Underwood’s second album moves away from the Shania Twain-like pop influences of her debut into a purer form of country music that focuses on her remarkable voice. Comparisons to Trisha Yearwood, Reba McEntire,and Faith Hill are valid, especially on songs like the twangy first single “So Small.” That song is one of four co-written by Underwood; the remaining three are among the strongest on the album, alongside a heartfelt cover of Randy Travis’s “I Told You So” and the wry “The More Boys I Meet.” CARNIVAL RIDE is a much more self-assured and personal album than SOME HEARTS, and it’s a straightforward slice of contemporary Nashville country at its best.

Carrie Underwood has absolutely stunning vocals. This is the best album i have ever heard. She is not only a beautiful country singer she is an amazing vocalist. The opener ” Flat On The Floor’ shows amazing vocal ability and the ability to hold every note. This song takes some real lung to sing. This album is more personal than Some Hearts. and in my opinion wayy better. Carrie Underwood shows off her powerhouse vocals in this album. She is definitly making her mark on country music! she is a very very very talented artist. From the funny song ” The More Boys I Meet” to the ballet “So Small” Carrie Underwood shows her true vocal ability in this amazing album. She is one of the best country singer and deserves everything she has won and achieved. god bless carrie underwood.
