Many of us searching for the right man or woman can relate to this song, and realize the time comes where we must be “Taking Chances” to move ahead.
I like that she has tried something new with the video with its comic touch and bit of acting, stunts, etc… totally different to the video I expected for the song but it’s fantastic, she’s she is truly a diva superstar.

Taking Chances” is the first single from Celine Dion’s upcoming English-language album Taking Chances. The song premiered on the radio on September 10, 2007. It was released as a digital download on September 18, 2007 in the United States and September 26, 2007 in Europe. “Taking Chances” CD single will be released on October 24, 2007 in Japan, between October 25 and November 2, 2007 in Europe, and on November 3, 2007 in Australia and New Zealand.

The song was written by Kara DioGuardi and David A. Stewart from Eurythmics, and produced by John Shanks.
“Taking Chances” was first recorded by Platinum Weird, a musical collaboration between DioGuardi and Stewart. It was included on their Platinum Weird album.
Kara DioGuardi also wrote and co-produced with Emanuel “Eman” Kiriakou “Surprise Surprise,” slated for release on Dion’s forthcoming album.
DioGuardi has already written three songs for Dion in the past: “Right in Front of You”, “Sorry for Love” and “One Heart.” The last one was co-written and co-produced by John Shanks and Kara DioGuardi, and released as a single in 2003.

The music video, directed by Paul Boyd, was filmed in three days (September 15-17, 2007) in several different locations in the Las Vegas area. The video is narrative heavy, as only one of the three shoot days was spent on performance. It includes a guest appearance by Dave A. Stewart.[9] The video was released on October 16, 2007.

I wish to know how I can e-mail Celine Dion’s manager or agent, or at least Celine Dion personally if possible? If you have any information to help me to reach her, I would be very honored. Reason for contacting her or her agent or manager is to give an audition for being a back-up-singer. I have years of training, and I am a very flexable to adapt to new environments and new songs. I have minor in sight-singing, major in singing, and I am improving each day to various ways to use my vocal abilities. I am a Baritone with a two and a half ocatve vocal range which allows me to be flexable with powerful songs which require power and range to express the deepest meaning of the song. Music to me is an art. Which is an expression of who I am inside. Music for me is the most deepest expression of spiritual love/ and a way to express who I am as a person.
I know with all humility, you would do all that you are humanly capable to help me to reach my goal, a goal to be able to make others happy and up-lifted with my voice. I wish to thank you in advance for your thoughtfulness and attentiveness.

I love this song and I don’t ever like anything Celine does. Finally she has stepped outside of the box!!
