Truthfully, this song is very simple, everything from the message of the lyrics to the tone of the music itself. How she sings it is simple too. So how does this song make up for its simplicity? That’s easy. The answer: like many other beautiful songs that have lasted through time, it’s perfectly relatable to anybody (girl or guy) that has been hurt by somebody that pledged their love, invested their time to chase them, did whatever it took to win their love and trust, but then when the thrill of “the chase” is gone and the feeling of finally getting what they didnt have before is satiated (commonly known as wanting what you can’t have)…what is there left? Many quickly get bored, unfortunately, and want something new, then they move on to get that thrill again but some realize maybe one of two things, that they truly did love that person and want them back after hurting them or two they didn’t really want the new person as bad as they though or the person they was chasing dont want them in either case by the time they figure that out they think they’re safe and they can go back to the person they hurt…well this song is about being strong no matter what and saying, you know what, you didnt need me so I don’t need you…its all too common today…

i felt it to .i think its telling women that once your heart is broken it is hard to forgive and forget but moving on is the best .men sometimes think of the past and remember what they have lost and they come back for thinking that you will come with them i have seen it many times but women remember if he hurt you once forgive and forget but do not go back to him because he may never change .so9metimes it takes a women heart to break before she realize that she deserves better

I felt this song and it gave me chills. My daughters love this song too. We have all been hurt by a loved one and once the love is broken, it can never be put back together again. ” That which does not kill us makes us stronger”.
