Diana Vickers Leaves X Factor
Diana Vickers missed the final as she went out of The X Factor in the semi final. Diana has won loads of X Factor fans with her voice of an angel and pretty face including Judge Dannii Minogue who called her a “little doll”. She has a real passion for music and a quirky, unique voice. But, due to her trials and tribulations of previous weeks, when she had lost her voice and self-confidence because of a laryngitis, Diana didn’t win enough votes from the viewers in order to go to the final of the ITV1 talent show.
She was among judges’ favourites. She had marvellous performances of Smile and Blondie’s “Call Me”, then she missed Mariah Carey week, as she had to recover from her illness. When she came back on stage, Gary Barlow gave her his phone number and offered to sign her up during Take That week.
In her last night on the show, the smoky-voiced blonde singer hit the stage with her first song, Avril Lavigne’s “Girlfriend”, accompanied by dancers on climbing nets and skateboards. She then went for an emotional rendition of Dido’s “White Flag”. Simon Cowell criticised her song choice, saying it did not have any “big moments” and the audience agreed, as they voted her rivals JLS ’s moving performance of “I’m Already There”, Alexandra Burke’s ambitious rendition of Toni Braxton’s “Unbreak My Heart” and Eoghan Quigg.
As Diana was drawing to the end of her last song, Eoghan rushed onto the stage and hugged her in front of the startled audience and contestants. “It was so emotional. I was just singing my song, but I found it difficult to continue because I was thinking so much about the words of the song. I knew I wasn’t singing well because I was almost crying at the same time. Then Eoghan came forward - I had no idea he was rushing the stage. I didn’t know anyone was running towards me because I was so lost in the song. But the next thing I knew suddenly I had someone’s arms around me and then everyone was hugging me - I loved that”. “It was the best moment of my life,” she said and “the perfect ending to everything“.
Now, Diana is going home and back to college to study Theatre Studies, Classics and Psychology.

I was Heartbroken when JLS was singing Westlife’s I’m Already There they broken diana’s Dream’s i was guted i was crying crying crying and crying i was devestated and Heartbroken. I wanted to get Diana’s album before 2009 christmas and wanted to see her in her first concert i was so Emotional and i’m going to say have a nice New-Year 2009 hope to see This Year’s X-Factor soon. I would like to meeet you in person to ask for Photo Take with you and for you’re Autograph
