American rapper Eminem debuted a new song titled “I’m Having a Relapse” on October 15, 2008 at an event held by Shade 45.
It was at this event that Eminem also confirmed the title for the upcoming album to be Relapse.
Relapse is the sixth studio album by Eminem, it was released in December 2008 by Interscope Records.

Here’s the deal. There’s like a lot of album titles floating around out there that like, are fake album titles… like bullshit album titles, so I was just gonna say, you know, tell everybody the real title of my album. It’s coming out, it’s called Relapse.
Shade 45 is Eminem’s uncensored Hip-Hop/Rap station on SIRIUS Satellite Radio channel 45 and DISH Network 6045.

What the hell is going on with Em? Shakin babies, snappin necks, pitch fork folks…Em is so talented - sucks to see him waste it on dark meaningless lyrics. Hateful to those that dis you is one thing. First this was a freestyle there was not much though put into this(it is clearly some play play stuff em did) ,even so if em wanted to make somethin real good in a freestyle he can do so easily. Think about it like this. he is one of the most talented rappers and lyricists to have ever set foot on this planet. as all of you sit here and critique his work, be it his best or his worst, he is compiling ideas that our petty minds could never begin to create. so there were some wacky songs on encore… accident? i think not. “i am triumph the puppet dog, i am a mere puppet i can get away with anything i say and you will love it” all that is a beautiful metaphor. he knew he was making music that even he didnt like. he was showing that hip-hop was going in a stupid disco direction, and that it is retarded, and talentless… he made the weak songs he made to prove that even when he is making poppy crap music he still does it better, more creativly and more popularly than all the other clowns making crap music. he is a poet. and a brilliant artist. and all of you argue like your opinions matter a bit to him, or anyone but yourselves, for that matter. he is going to make what he likes, and if you buy it you buy it, if not… someone else will, and when no one does then he can make music for himself, and it probably doesnt matter if the masses don’t but up his music… i think he’ll have enough money to live more than comfortably for the rest of his life, as will his 3 girls.

I like Em, but I don’t like this song. It does matter if you like an artist or not you don’t have to like everything that they put out. That is just dumb, and EM is great but not the G.O.A.T, did we forget about 2Pac, Biggie, Eric B. & Rakim, Nas, KRS-1, Big L, Nas, and Jay to name a few. The whole greatest rapper alive thing does a disjustice to HIP HOP in general…no other genre constantly hunts for the “best” it’s all a matter of opinion and perception. Em will defintely go down as one of the best rappers to hold a mic, but I think it is too hard AND POINTLESS to name the Best Rapper Alive, just like the debate over what’s real HIP HOP, growing up listening to Boogie Down Production, Slick Rick, Run DMC, LL Cool J, Rakim, and all of the legends, they are dope and made me partial to the East Coast…because that is where it all started the South Bronx South South South Bronx…but like with anything music grows develops, new points of views, and new stories to tell.
