Eminem - Recovery Album Review

Recovery is Eminem’s seventh major label studio album, the follow up to 2009’s Relapse. On his new album EMINEM has reached out to an exciting list of first-time collaborators, including DJ Khalil, Just Blaze, Jim Jonsin and Boi-1da, among others.
The confirmed release date is June 21 in the United Kingdom, while in the rest of Europe it is June 18 and in the United States June 22.

Recovery is one of his best so far, every song is solid and they have some of his deepest lyrics. He’s grown up, giving us mature lyrics without losing his edge. He even apologized for the past 2 albums on this one saying in one of the songs… The last 2 albums don’t count, Encore I was on drugs and Relapse I was flushing them out.
Buy this album and you won’t regret it, easily the album of the year!

“I had originally planned for Relapse 2 to come out last year,” remarked EMINEM. “But as I kept recording and working with new producers, the idea of a sequel to Relapse started to make less and less sense to me, and I wanted to make a completely new album. The music on Recovery came out very different from Relapse, and I think it deserves its own title.” Eminem

EMINEM releases Recovery just over a year after his last album, 2009’s Relapse. Relapse put the cap on an impressive ten years of recorded output, and contributed to EMINEM being the biggest selling artist of 2000-2009. In recognition of this, Neilsen SoundScan named him their Artist of the Decade.
Relapse entered the charts at #1 and, at nearly double platinum, was the best selling rap album of last year. It also earned EMINEM his 11th Grammy award, winning in the Best Rap Album category. Relapse’s first single, “Crack A Bottle” from EMINEM, Dr. Dre and 50 Cent, soared to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 (Eminem’s second #1 after 2002’s “Lose Yourself”) and set a SoundScan record at the time of its release for opening week download sales (418,000).

i have to admit, after being a fan of eminem for a long time, since slim shady lp even till relapse, his album recovery is really bad,i mean really really bad.he keeps shouting on da record and he sings way 2 much,it becomes really annoyin,i dunno whether im losin my mind but am i da only one who finds him annoyin now wit dis new flow?his voice just sounds annoyin wit da shoutin, props on da lyrics,he rhymed things rappers wouldnt even dream bout rhymin, but dat shouting doesnt do it 4 me,he did it on another albums, but he didnt do it on da whole album!

talkin 2 myself is my fav track

but apart from dat, relapse is a classic record compared 2 dis,i mean eminem is good on simple production,he basically stooped 2 da south influence n started makin music like lil wayne, and sampled faggoty haddaway, and just blaze, seriously i wanna kill da dude, wat has he done wit himself,da beats r horrible,he used 2 make real new york beats!!!

eminem,if ure readin dis,uve disappointed me,i actually thought relapse was a great record, obv. take out dat weird accent and its a mega album but plz go bak 2 ur old formula coz dis one sux,ure stoopin 2 smt ure not used to,i mean cmon, how do u wanna be remembered?sum1 who goes 2 rihanna for a chorus, how is dat original, every raper went 2 rihanna, ure da one who stayed tru n original, ure not anymore…..

U lost me when you said Relapse was a good album, no need to keep reading

Album is great, really reflective lyrics and some great beats, Buy it you wont be dissapointed, unless your like the guy above me and want to hear Em rap about Dumb shit like the last album

  7. TikiGoD Says:

There seems to be a lot of debate about Eminem’s new album, The Recovery. I’d like to state a point here, Eminem’s technical skills in creating lyrics has not decreased or increased from his last album ‘Relapse.’ Although his theme and approach to this album has definitely changed.

During the Relapse he has a much more dark oriented theme which arguably gives you a closer understanding of Eminem then his current ‘happy uplifting’ state. Its not the gruesome reality of Eminem but then again it probably isn’t because if you consider that he is a changed man, being drug free and all. Now if thats a good thing or a bad thing is up to discussion.

Nonetheless, its too unrealistic that he is so happy and thats why I don’t like this album. It sounds great, it even has some really good rhymes but in all honesty he just sounds like everyone else now and thats why this album sucks. Thats why I don’t like the route he is taking.

You see he’s currently like every other rapper. There is no uniqueness to him because he lacks originality with the approach taken on this album. Why hasn’t Em done a track with Xzibit (recently as I am familiar with the past relations), Kid Cudi, Common, Immortal Technique, Damian Marley, Nas, or for God’s sake some independent rappers like Zion! Instead he makes songs with Pink and Rhianna. I mean I like the girls but they don’t know how to make a hip-hop song! Rhianna doesn’t write her lyrics, don’t sing the songs how she wants to sing them, she doesn’t produce, or do any decision making in her songs, she is guided by the media execs to create songs. There is no originality from her crap.

The album is all colorful and joyful. It brings good moods and happy times to listeners. Thats great but if I wanted that I would go listen to The Beatles, Jay-Z Blueprint 3, I would listen to music from artists who are uplifting, who do care, who are really about spreading the joyess feeling you get from music. Eminem is suppose to be rugged, hes suppose to be hard, hes suppose to not give a shit about what the “rappers” (if we can even call em that in these days) think about him. That Eminem you clearly have lost. Therefore take your soft ass jelly bean beats and send it over to the rich end of Malibu because the world is not nice, is not happy, and is not in recovery. The world wants something to relate to, something to bring things into focus, someone who brings out their pains.

  8. deano Says:

I don’t think this album is good sure it has 3-5 good songs
but relapse and recovery aren’t as good as he used 2 be,
17 songs and i only like 4 of dem

  9. belieeeedat Says:

It amazes me to see just how moronic some of these comments are. To the guy that said Relapse was a better record than this, I think it’s safe to say that you’ve lost the right to run your mouth about hip hop music for at least a year or two. To the cynic who says this cd is too uplifting, what the f*** do you want from him? Em’s finally in a good place after a near overdose and the death of his best friend and he’s supposed to act depressed just because your life is so shitty that you can’t even feel good for the man? This album is another level lyrically, and the production is definitely up to par. For Eminem fans or just fans of good rap music, it’s good to have the real Slim Shady back.

  10. raze Says:

its ok, i dun mind gettin criticised on my views of da album,i am well awarre i am a minority, wat can i say?i just dun feel da album,i like em on simple production,i dun like him singin 2 much,u can be melodic, just dun sing, and i dun like him stoopin 2 pink and rihanna,da whole thing is,im not a hater, hey if da song wit rihanna n pink is good then y not bump it,i liked da one wit elton john,so wat if da guys a homo,if it bumps,it bumps, prob is da songs wit pink n rihanna r not good, not by my standards,i mean theres no clear melody dat makes u go wow, cmon rihanna has run out of melodies, but eminem as tikiGod says above me,hes too happy yet almost every song hes angry n shoutin, look im 26,ive been listenin 2 eminem since way bak, maybe dats y i appreciate his dark work, like same song and dance, how could ppl say dat it took him very lil time 2 write dat,its conceptual, how come critics dun say dat when jay-z goes in da booth and one-takes it?
all im sayin is dat i usually feel eminems album on da 1st listen, dis one and encore i didnt, and trust me i have listened 2 it more than once now,but no its not gettin better, certainly not by Relapse standards,in fact im gonna go bump relapse coz dat cd rocks,i prefer eminem on drugs, dont we all?i mean cmon, stop foolin urself like ur fav rapper doesnt take drugs.theyre more interestin, clear headedness got em kissin kanyes and waynes ass,dat pisses me off,i hate both of dem!
em clearly made dis album for da same ppl dat buy kanye and wayne, its simple,i dont buy their crap, ill admit i bought carter III,but dats it,it wasnt dat great of an album,i was caught in da hype, wat a waste!

and if u wanna criticise my opinion, do it constructively, dun worry bout da way iw rite,i do it 2 save time,i actually have a political science degree yall,no joke.

  11. josh Says:

As far as i can tell slim shady is gone even though he still referred to himself by that name in wtp. He has become a cross between eminem and the rest of the rappers who are doing good comercially at the moment i.e he as decided to go with the trend.
In plain words the aproach on this album was very risky. It was either he pulls it off and does it better than everyone else or he makes an album that embarasses him for trying to be like everyone else. This album is equivalent to the blueprint 3 (not subject wise but the fact that there not as dark as the albums both rappers are known to put out) but the only difference is we were already used to jay z making commercial songs where the beats are as good as the lyrics, where as eminem is one who’s known to take average, if not shitty, beats and turn em into classics. He was the only artist whom I would listen to the song and not concentrate on the beat at all.
With that said, this is my general review: He pulled it off.
Even though I feel on some songs he should have loosened up his energy a bit with this new style he’s come up with, it’s still ok and he has shown grwoth and more openness. He has mentioned on countless ocassions on the album that he has officially come to kill it (not in the exact words) and by the way he shows cofidence on every single rhyme i believe him. I’m also giving further props to the album since this is a new zone he’s in which he has yet to experiment any further. With this album he might lose some fans. The hardcore “slim shady” fans. But the amount of fans who would start noticing his work might be twice as much. I also like the way he has decided to spread his wings and work with other producers instead of sticking with dre and eventually having the whole album sound the same. In short, eminem is finally giving us his previously untapped 90% of his brain. This album is worth it but I would need one more to be able to comment on his new style.

  12. sledge Says:

i read a lot of reviews and comments and agree and disagree with a lot thats been said. To be blunt, this IS an excellent album, there isn’t any of the cringe inducing nonsense that littered his past two LPs - both of which imo sucked.

To address some of the negative comments

    1) Poor beats - Yes some of the beats are sub par and quite generic sounding, unfortunately/Fortunately (depends on personal opinion) Eminem is the boggest most COMMERCIALLY mc in hip hop today. So you should really expect these beats, and lbh they arent too soft anyway. But with his explicit lyrical content, its no surprise that the counter balance to this is mainstream beats. Now imo, i would LOVE him to drop an album over hard east coast beats,as i do agree he does suit the more minimalist beats better, and this would also slow his flow down a bit and bring more emphasis to the power and ingenuity of his lyrics. Hopefully his next album he will do this - and as such cement his status as not only the most commerically successful emcee of all time but also the BEST, with an album worthy of top spot in real hip hop fans lists.

    2) Singing on hooks - hmmm, ok yes maybe a lil bit too much. As above, some more scratches and harder beats would be better. But still not bad.

    3) Pink and Rhianna - Pink song is weak in production. Coulda been ok actually with better quality. Rhianna track i like and will be a number one track, but still it does hint at following the crowd and not leading it, as imo he should be.

    4) Flow- excellent, but needs to switch it up more, every track is fast - even those with the slow(er) beats. While its ill and better than 99% of most emcees, or should i say commercial emcees, it does make the album a bit too monotonous, needs a couple of tracks to break it up a bit, highs and lows, fast and slow, thats the way the track listing should flow..lol

But anyway, it is a great album, buy it in the millions so that for his next album he will complete creative control to realise the raw shit that hip hop REALLY needs with real rhymes, and hard beats. It would change the hip hop game - in a good way!! (DIE AUTOTUNE, DIE CRUNK etc lol)

  13. Kid Says:

You people need to understand that this album is ahright its good that Eminem can finally be happy but when u think about it what made u like eminem back when u first listened to him. Was it him be all emotional or him being him. If Em jus came out as another mainstream rapper in the beginning would he be the number one selling artist of the decade. Eminem was him self and didnt care what people thought of him I understand why he would wanna do what he should for his family but he doesnt have to go mainstream to do it he doesnt have to accept lil wayne and rihanna what made em a rapper that I like was his amazing shady flow and his eminem side that showed the struggles of his life in an also nasty flow but he needs to do what he originally did which was rap to some nasty beats jus being real with himself. This new flow he has is good but its the same one in every song pretty much and the yelling does get a little annoying after awhile. If he rapped about something other than how he feels on top of his game in almost every song mabey i would like more. All in all this album was good but what happened to the eminem that everyone fell in love with what happened to the Em that caught dres attention.

  14. Denver Says:

So looking at all of the reviews and comments I can find, I’m finding A LOT of “it’s great, but it could be better” or “take the sh*t off the shelves and throw it in the dumpster”. I honestly have to say this is my favorite rap album of all time, and possibly my favorite album across all genres. I’ve been an Eminem fan since the day The Slim Shady LP came out, even through Relapse, which I disliked, although I think Em was less of a fan than I was. I have the Deluxe Edition of Recovery, so I’m talking about the 17 tracks combined when I say I’m exclusively listening to this album for hours on end. A lot of people are upset with the “commercial” aspects of the album, from more intricated beats to features to samples, and I have to say what the h*ll are you whining about? Kobe, Lil Wayne, and Rihanna all add to their tracks’ amazingness, particularly Kobe. As far as the beats, I think the problem people are having isn’t that the beats are now good, but the fact that it’s not just Em’s lyrics that are making the tracks great now. As far as the samples, I have to say I absolutely love how Em’s taken songs by Black Sabbath and that fool Haddaway and turned them into outstanding rap records. Weezy gets a lot of hate from Em fans, but the fact is No Love hits just as deep and hard as Drop The World, and that means it’s a very good track. Any of you that say that Weezy sucks, I suggest listening to his less commercial music carefully, as well as Em himself, who said on this album he would have been murdered by Weezy back when he wasn’t at his best.
The “uplifting” feeling some of you are sensing is completely absent for me. I see nothing uplifting about this album other than Not Afraid, only a more mature and deeper field of emotions that only adds to his unparalleled lyrical style and flow. Finally the fact that Em sings on a few more hooks and choruses than normal doesn’t annoy me at all. It represents the fact that he’s putting everything he has into these tracks and every part of the song that he verbalizes means something. Also, it may have been on a different site as I don’t see it here, but perhaps I’m just missing it, but anyone who finds Em’s singing on You’re Never Over annoying, bad, or anything but necessary should delete Eminem from their lives and never even consider listening to anything he’s even thought about again. A dedication to Proof without Em going all out in every aspect of the song would be an insult to the memory of his best friend and an accomplished rapper.

  15. roy==uknow Says:

I read almost all the comments and agree with most of them but most of u all seem to be missing the point completely. Eminem put out this album 2 appeal 2 certain groups of his fans who have been through similar experiences, I know I can say with confidence we have all gone out with a girl who has messed are heads up one way or another. I also spk from losing my father recently and battling drugs. I hope this albums inspires others the way it inspired me. Im not gonna compare it lyrically/production wise to other albums. I mean the guy has set he bar so go dam high in the past I dont think its possible raise it anymore. Just proud 2 see him doing well for himself again and sharing his pain like hes always done, we all feel pain and I know theres gonna be alot of people who will relate to this, well done em u nailed it again

  16. Giggity Says:

Roy man I feel you on your comment. I just do not understand how people can actually think that this album isn’t good. Lyrically, this album can be compared to anyone of his other albums. Slim Shady LP, Eminem Show, Infinite, and even the great Marshall Mathers LP are all paralleled by this album and I honestly never thought he would be able to match the Mathers LP. I loved the Relapse. Lyrically no one can compare to the way he raps not just words, but syllables. The only album I did not respect was Encore, but do I still listen to some of the songs on it? YES.
This album is meant for people who have been through similar shit. It’s meant for the people that lived like Slim Shady and suffered because of it. For the people who have struggled in life and are now finally starting to see a glimmer of hope.
The beats are not from Dre (besides ‘So Bad’). Therefore they are in now way shape or form as good as his other albums. However, “Recovery” does not need the best beats in the business to be just as good anything he has released to date. FUCK BEATS, anyone who judges an album on the production doesn’t know Rap. Go listen to Young Money is you want to hear good beats, but you’ll be stuck listening to some of the most cliche, dull, and pointless lyrics in the business. “I take V-Cards from the Re-tards…..” are you fucking kidding me?
Eminem went a completely different way with this album and he did more than pull it off. He put out the deepest and most honest album he has ever made, besides the Marshall Mathers & Slim Shady LP’s, but they are all equal in comparison. And oh ya, he also cemented himself as the best Rapper lyrically EVER. He is nothing like all the other rappers today because for those of who understand where he is coming from, this album is deep as shit.

  17. moose Says:

    brilliant album,

  18. Buski Says:

@Raze…dude are u out yo F*$%ing mind??? Recovery is the shit…truly does take Em back to his glory days. Relapse was shit…terrible album and Even em admitted it. so what the f*** u talking bout!!!! This whole album is so sick!!!!!! Great job Em…loving u again!

  19. real fan Says:

I have heard so many people stating they are eminem fans but slating the album. This is to all these people each stand alone album eminem has released takes you on a jorney though his state of mind at the time. A real fan should just be happy eminem is in a good place mentaly. I have even heard people saying “instead of slating other pop artists hes singing with them”, for god sake he puts out what hes feeling and he has grown up as an artist, this is a new direction for eminem to expolre let him be his self .

  20. forbin Says:

    it’s eminem’s best album. easily.

  21. EW Says:

Eminem is badass,Simple as that End of story.

  22. ThE BoSs Says:

Recovery is an amazing album, I can’t understand why anyone would dislike it. What more do people want from him? He’s the best rapper in the world and has proved it yet again with Recovery. His lyrics are amazing and by far some of the best he has ever created.

One of his best albums by far, if not then it is the best. He’s being himself on this album and he’s doing it very well. His songs are more emotional and moving on this album. He hasn’t lost it, I think he’s better than ever. Just amazing, no words to describe it really.

  23. bede Says:

First off, the music is horrible. It is as equally generic as everything else on the radio, which is why this album fits so perfectly into a line-up consisting of today’s most commercially successful artists (Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, Rhianna, Drake etc.). This album is home to some of the weakest drums I have ever heard (”No Love”, “Not Afraid”) as well as some of the most bland guitar riffs (”Talkin’ 2 Myself”, “Space Bound”). In addition to this, the music does not even attain a rap sound. The only element remotely reflective of the art of hip-hop producing is the sampling. Even then, chopping up Haddaway’s “What Is Love” is one of the poorest excuses for a sample I have heard yet, worse than Puff Daddy sampling The Police. There is nothing great, innovative, or enjoyable about the music on “Recovery” whatsoever. If the music on “Recovery” is not bad, then all music is good.

I will say that Eminem’s style of rapping on this album is more tolerable than that of “Relapse”. Of course, that’s not saying much. First off, the way he structures his rhymes does not make for a good flow. On “Talkin’ 2 Myself”, the way he delivers “God it…feels like I’m going psychotic” results in a bad rhyme. Second, his content is ridiculous:
    1. Shouting out Kanye West, T.I., and Lil’ Wayne numerous times.
    2. Overstating how much he does not care for “Relapse”.
    3. Blaming his last two albums (which also failed miserably on the artistic level) on drug addiction (”The last two didn’t count/ ‘Encore’ I was on drugs, ‘Relapse’ I was flushing ‘em out/”), as if he was not incredibly high during the recordings of “The Slim Shady LP” and “The Marshall Mathers LP” (he was on marijuana, mushrooms, ecstasy).
    4. In general, none of the song’s concepts are creative. “25 To Life” - where he personifies hip-hop as a woman (something Common Sense did with much more taste 16 years ago), “W.T.P.” - the recycled idea regarding his 8 Mile origins.
    5. His vocal performance on the album results in a lousy attempt to “reach out” or “touch” the listener, making for an in general trite emotion, which is clearly heard in his singing.

His singing, along with the guest artists’ singing is very unimpressive - the singing on “Not Afraid”, “Won’t Back Down”, “Cold Wind Blows”, “Cinderella Man” (what is this?), really any track on the record. On “Talkin’ 2 Myself”, “Kobe” overly dramatizes the not so intense idea of talking to oneself during the chorus. In conclusion, the singing on the album is simply overdone and not good.

“Recovery” is everything Eminem strived not to be ten years ago, everything he so passionately criticized - generic, bubblegum pop, and worst of all (if you had asked him in 2000) corny.

  24. RecoverySuxx Says:

recovery was horrible. i miss slim and the ranting dark eminem. now hes with pink n rhianna? wtf? hes losin it. he SCREAMS into the mic so he sounds bad. bad beats. i dnt lik it. :[

  25. OG Says:

Guys. Quit hating on tha album.
look, Eminem has done it all. he has been there done that in tha industry.
He has done songs with tha greatest MCs and got beats from tha greatest producers. (Dre is an example)
You guys dont know him. Yall aint TRUE fans.
This album is a whole diff thing. It pretty much changed tha face of hip hop and rap. Its kinda revolutionized!!! He is a beast in tha album. Its a WHOLE new thing.
    holla

  26. 9891 Says:

Wow - how quickly people are ready to put artists down for trying new things. I have been a fan of Eminem’s throught his career - that doesn’t mean I love all his songs. In fact, I don’t like most of them. That doesn’t mean I am not a fan. I simply listen to the journey Eminem takes me on depending on the things he is going thru at the time. I can relate to the situations in his life without loveing the beats or thinking his lyrics are dope. I respect the man for being real. I think it takes megga balls to relay his whole life to millions of people in the form of music. Eminem pulls no punches. He admits when he is wrong, he loves being a father, he tells us that he would like to kill his wife, he explores the highs and lowes of life without predjudices. When everyone else in the world is hideing their shortcommings from others he announces them to us. Sometimes he even has awesome beats and lyrics- WAY TO GO EMINEM!! KEEP BEING YOU!!

  27. flosy Says:

Everybody has their own opinion! I personally think Eminem is awesome! Zhe has been through some bad times that relate to a lot people! His lyrics are true for the most part and have meaning behind them. I know personally I can relate very well to “Love the way you lie”. If you have never experienced what these lyrics say then you have no clue what the true meaning of this song is about!! I respect him he has came a long way and I do not put down anyone for trying!!

  28. sah Says:

nah this album sucked. i think he should have stuck with dre beats. trust me, i am a fan of eminem and i have been for a while. i take an obsession to a whole new level! i have almost every song he wrote that didnt have the rest of D12 in it, cause they f***ing SUCK. some of the songs on this album were alright, nothing like his old shit though. he yells in the mic the entire time and it pisses me off. and you guys who keep saying how you should judge the song on the lyrics, not the beats? are you retarded? its a f***ing SONG. the beat is half of the song, and without a good beat its hard to make a song sound good. he kept putting in this metal snare drum sound that annoyed the shit out of me, like in not afraid. and who the f*** is that chick that sung half of his choruses? not rhianna, but that song was pretty bad too. HURT AND BURN DONT RHYME. just saying. ya know he can try new things, but going this mainstream and kissing other peoples ass isnt a good way to go.

AND, youre gonna hate me for this, but i definitely liked relapse MORE than recovery. it wasnt the best album, but it was hard. not like this pussy rihanna music.

oh, and dont get me wrong, the lyrics are deep, but its not like a lot of his other shit wasnt deep too. he rhymes like no one else, but he didnt put the album together right this time. you cant say you’re a fan of eminem if youve never listened to infinite :) if you didnt know who he was until recovery than you can shut the f*** up and listen to kanye west if you want lame ass beats with pussy lyrics.

For me, being just a sick, this conflict
Gets my dick harder than arithmetic

  29. Mpho Says:

WTF are yol bitching abt, slim has grown up and it shows in his new album any1 with eyes can see it, any1 with ears can hear it why cant you

  30. aljem Says:

man i dont really have this whole album but have listened to some of dem badass hits and i would really want to say this albium is just too badd. simply… oh.. no ..not really just simple its too badd.

  31. Will Says:

I think the album is good with only a few songs which I don’t like. this is a very personal album for him so don’t all be hating on him! A lot of people have bought it so he must have done something right. I agree he shouldn’t have sung as much but its still good. Some of the beats were a bit ‘hard’ but I still highly rate the album.

  32. Uhhhhh Says:

Hes motherf***ing lost it. Stop adding guests, Stop singing, your a Rapper. Stop bashing your old albums. Stop saying you were a junkey, good that you recovered a little.(YOU CANT RECOVER FROM 20 PILLS A DAY PLUS MORE DRUGS) We know they sucked. He has generic pop beats. Hes like Lil Wayne. Eminem’s new CD “Recovery” consists of rap music. I think the thing that makes Eminem distinct in his genre is that he raps all about his life and his family.

In Eminem’s past work he also rapped about his life but more about when he was younger. He also rapped a lot about his mom and how hard his life was because of her. He tells his fans that his dad left when he was very young and his mom was a really bad mother to him and his sister and he hated her for it. In one of his older songs he sings about “cleaning out my closet”, which is about all the bad things his mom has done and how he wants nothing to do with her anymore. He blames her for everything bad in his life. But, in his new CD he talks about how he is overcoming his past.

In each song the lyrics talk about Eminem’s fight to recovery. Eminem’s fans can learn about how he has changed through the years from listening to his songs. Some of his songs are called “ I’m not Afraid”, Going through Changes” and Cinderella Man”, which is a song about how he kicks his many drug addictions. If you are a fan of Eminem then the lyrics are meaningful to you because you can follow along with the lyrics and learn about how Eminem is trying to get his life back on track.

These songs are more for older kids because they have a lot of bad words that young kids should not hear and grown up would not like. I think this is because of where he grew up and how he was brought up.

To sum up this CD, I think it could be considered a lesson learned that anyone can change their life, especially for the better, even if they didn’t have the right people to teach them as they were growing up.

The negative part of the CD “Recovery’ is that there are a lot of curse words in it and a lot of things that aren’t very nice to talk about. The positive part of the CD “Recovery” is the songs are very catchy and, unlike his old CD’s, they send a positive message to all his listeners.

Something that could positively change the CD would be to change some of the bad lyrics and just put better words in. This would make the CD better for more people and he could still get his point across. Also, he would probably sell more CD’s because like I said before, his music is really catchy and I think a lot more people would buy it if it didn’t have to listen to all the bad words.

@domenic lol his earlier albums had way worse curse words than in this one lol, reovery is trash compared to his older albums

Hey!From my humble opinion,of course,Recovery is not his best album, but generally it sounds very impressive.I just can say that Recovery will be considered as a classical album after couples of years…

I liked it. 2Nd to best after THE Eminem Show which was just mind blowing. Only thing to make it better was to stick with Dr. Dre beats. That’s it. Woulda made it a lot less corny, and would make those pop artists unnesicary. Was still awesome, I’m glad he got rid of slim shady. Don’t get me wrong I love his old shit, he’s just getting to old for that crap. He said so himself: If I’m still om stage when I’m 30, someone needs to SLAP me off that stage. I’m glad he’s still making music, but he is getting to old for the blond-hair-goofy-kid-thing.
