Mercury Summer is the second single by alternative rock band Fightstarz , from their third studio album, Be Human.
Frontman Charlie Simpson said that the inspiration for this song came from one of the band’s favorite movies of all time, The Shawshank Redemption, and the dream of the lead character, Andy.
The song was released on April 6, 2009 and charted at #46 on UK Singles Chart.

The video was directed by Bogstandard, Ben Strebel and Dylan Byrne and premiered on 25th February 2009. It features the band dressed in suits, in a spinning room, along with images of a blonde woman. Listen the song here, enjoy.
