The first single from the album, “Paranoid“, is a guitar driven, riff laden hit that offers just a taste of the pop rock gems the album has to offer.
World War III” is a metaphor for a confrontational relationship, “Fly With Me“, which is also featured in the film Night At The Museum 2 film, was written by Jonas Brothers and their bass player Greg Garbowsky, and is sure to become a love song for the ages. With all these themes, it’s easy to see how Jonas Brothers came up with the title Lines, Vines and Trying Times.
On “Poison Ivy” Jonas Brothers added a horn section. In their summer music preview issue, Rolling Stone described the ultra catchy “Poison Ivy” as a “Weezer-ish tune about a toxic girl that you can’t resist.”
Hey Baby” is a classic “she done him wrong” song written entirely by Jonas Brothers. “We wrote this song for the last record while on the road and felt the old school sound was more cohesive with our present style,” explains Nick Jonas.

I would gladly marry Nick but since I’m only 10 yrs old my Poppie would probably come after both of us with a shotgun……… doesn’t mean I don’t still love all the brothers and their music

    the cd really impressed me,
i am not a fan of the jonas brothers,
but i actually enjoyed this cd and bought most all of the songs
this cd surpasses the disney image,
especially the lyrics that bash taylor swift,
    joe jonas’ ex girlfriend
also, thers a line in poison ivy that says
    “everyone’s allergic to poison ivy,
    everybody gets the itch,
    everybody hates that -”
    they dont actually, say it
and i wouldnt think they would
but it obvious, you should take a listen :)
my favourites include turn right, world war III and black keys

I got the CD on the 15 which was the day before it came out in the US. I am a HUGE Jonas Brothers fan and I pre-ordered Lines, Vines, and Trying Times back in April. I must say that this is the best Jonas Brothers CD thus far. As the guys get older and wiser, their music grows with them and it’s turning into a beautiful thing. I can see them doing this 20 years from now and I can also see myself still being a fan then, even though I will be 38 by then.

  6. Maggie Says:

this is their best album yet!! The songs are different sounding but in an amazing way. Each song has it own unique style and sound. The lyrics are amazing espeacailly when u consider they worte the lyrics themselves. Most people over look the jonas brothers but this album is good enough to change that.

So if u are not a jonas brothers fan give them another chance and listen to all of the songs truth is you will most likely like one of the songs!

I LOVE their new album but idk, I don’t think they did that well with Don’t Speak, I mean I love the song but the notes Nick sings, they’re kind of boring…

  15. Casey Says:

When I first heard LVATT, I wasn’t sure. This new album is so different from any of their past records; I was skeptical.
But this CD has grown on me.
Although my favorite Jonas Brothers album of all time will always be It’s About Time. <3
But yeah, the JoBros are doing a good job of maturing with their fans, which is pretty neat.
