Circle The Drain is the second promotional single by Katy Perry from her second major-label studio album, “Teenage Dream“. It was produced by Tricky Stewart and released on August 10, 2010.
According to the NY Post, in the song Katy makes reference to her ex-boyfriend and former Gym Class Heroes lead singer Travis McCoy and his previous drug addiction. The couple dated off and on throughout 2008 and broke up shortly after New Year’s 2009.
