Kelly Clarkson back with fourth studio album

It has been officially announced that Kelly Clarkson‘ forthcoming fourth studio album “All I Ever Wanted” will be hitting the market on March 17. It seems that the rumors saying this album will be entitled “Masquerade” dropped with this announcement. The album includes new songs penned and produced by Max Martin, Howard Benson, Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald as well as OneRepublic’s lead singer Ryan Tedder. During an interview with Digital Spy, Ryan shared Kelly’s new songs will feature “big choruses” and “heavy drum programming.” He also noted that the songs are influenced by Garbage and Mozart’s sounds.

The first single from “All I Ever Wanted” is entitled “My Life Would Suck Without You“. The track is written by duo Max Martin and Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald. Regardless the fact that it is scheduled to hit radios on January 19 and Amazon.com on January 16, according to Billboard, the song has been available to listen through an audio stream snippet.
In regard of the upcoming effort, Tom Corson, RCA Records general manager stated as quoted by The Wall Street Journal that Kelly is “in a period where she wants to take on the pop world again.” He then added, “She’s ready, and she’s got all the right support.”
This comes nearly a year after her fourth album was rumored to debut. Then, the recording was abandoned as pop rock singer Kelly Clarkson went on tour with Reba McEntire. Moreover, Clarkson, who earned her fame by winning the first season of popular talent show American Idol, was then taken by record boss Clive Davis “under his wing,” him also being the man behind Whitney Houston’s groundbreaking success. After two successful albums, one of which performed considerably better than anyone could have anticipated, Kelly and Davis had public fallout, which is also believed to have been the cause for the flop of her 2007 LP “My December.” However, her fall did not stop there. Repeatedly criticized for her overweight and the way she dressed for public appearances (anonymous sources said she refused to hire a personal stylist), Kelly’s music and shows would obstinately not sell. At the same time, her statements made it clear for the fans that she was, indeed, refusing the support of her fans, turning against both Davis and the record company, but also against the image they had built for her, and for which fans had come to love her.
Now, things seem to go back to normal and Clarkson is back again. McEntire’s husband, Narvel Blackstock, now manages Clarkson.
