Kanye West talks about the song.
“It’s a single for Cudi,” Kanye explained. “Due to radio, the name of the song is called ‘I Make Her Say.’ When I saw that YouTube, that’s what made me fall in love with the song - when I saw her play the acoustic version. I could hear all the melody lines. On the ‘Poker Face’ single, she sings it straightforward, almost, like, ripping it or chanting it. But this [acoustic version], you hear the Broadway melodies run up and down. I was inspired by that. I wanted to sample it. I thought it was really dope - just on some hip-hop, ‘Say when I p-p-poke her face.’
“All the backstory to the song is really controversial,” he continued. “When I found out that her actual song is about her making love to her boyfriend but really thinking about her girlfriend, I was like, ‘Oh, that’s crazy.’ For us to even flip it to another level and challenge people’s opinions, that’s it.”

Common is by far my favorite rapper. Not his forte in this song, but hes still got pretty good flow. Got the song just because I saw common and kanye and its pretty good

I find this record and lyrics totally offensive to Blacks and women. I suppose both Kid Cudi and Kanye West know not of the struggle our people have made to eradicate such ignorance and are only concerned about their own bottom line. I will not listen to such crap nor will I purchase . I have initiated a boycott of this album and this type of artist until they learn the flawed error of their ways.

I agree with Jazz. It’s not just rap either. There’s rock and even reggeton that talks about sex. It’s a shared thing. Besides, rapping about sex does nothing to black people either. I guess you’re just not having much at all so you want all music to be gospel so you don’t have to think of what you’re missing.

Kanye is a conceited a-hole. I’m tired of hearing his self centered rhetoric EVERYWHERE! This song, like most Kanye has any part in as of late, is nothing more than a catchy beat with pointless lyrics (repeated over and over). He sucks and so does his music!!!!
