The music video for “Better in Time” was shot at Hampton Court Palace in London by acclaimed British director Sophie Muller in February 2008.
According to Lewis, the video is about what goes on behind the scenes in her life.
The video is inspired by fashion design, and features Lewis performing in front of “unrelated photographic set-ups”.

this song made me cry one night.
i met this guy in 9th grade because i found out he had a crush on me. then i found out he was my neighbor. i really wasnt into him. he lacked confidence to ever talk to me. then the summer of 10th grade, i was sitting outside enjoying summer and he finally came over and talked to me. we became best friend fast. the subject of dating never came up because he was too afraid of being rejected. the winter of 12th grade, he asked me out, but i was dating someone at the time. so i had to say no. it was bad timing, i wouldve said yes. then after he recovered from that, we started talking and hanging out again. but he told me a year later that he couldnt stand not being with me. i was still dating the same guy and we just moved in together, i love him. he said he cant even talk or hang out with me because he just falls deeper in love with me and that i have to choose to be with him or never talk to/see him again. i said its going to be so hard to just give up a best friend like that. we cried together the whole night. but in the end, i had to stay with my boyfriend. but its been a year and i still miss his company, i send him a text every few months to say i miss him, but he tells me to leave him alone. this song made me cry so much because its been a LONG time and i still cant get over a best friend.

when i listen to this song i jus cry cuz along tyme agon this boy ask me out so i said yea we went out 4 like 3 yrs. but then this gurl came around a white gurl no offense and he dump me for her but she wuz pregnent at the time not by him and he found out he didnt care den she cheated on him like 13 timez every time i come around him he wuld hold his head down and i told him u left a good one so i moved on still having feelngz for him and me and my boo moved in he getz mad but still goes out wit her i called him and said wutz up and he will jus hang up he does not knoe i have hiz child im not a teen 21 lol but i keepp trying to tell him and he will get mad i still have feelingz 4 dat boy and itz been 2 yrz so wen i hear this song i jus cry cuz i miss him and he wont even talk to me
