Stronger with Each Tear is the ninth studio album from R&B diva Mary J. Blige. The album features musical contributions from T.I., Rodney Jenkins, Drake, Darkchild, Swizz Beatz, Sean Garrett, Polow Da Don, Tricky Stewart, The-Dream, Stargate and Ne-Yo.
The album was released in the U.S. on December 21, 2009 under Blige’s own imprint Matriarch Records with distribution from Geffen Records.
It is Blige’s third album that was released in the week running up to Christmas following The Breakthrough (2005) and Growing Pains (2007).
This is a very uplifting album, is comprehensive and it is difficult to hate a song in it. She still holds her title as Queen of Hip hop Soul.

“The One” was released as the album’s first single on June 5, 2009 for airplay and was officially released on July 21, 2009. Featuring Drake, the song was produced by Rodney Jerkins, who is one of several producers working on the album. The song debuted & peaked at number sixty-three on the Billboard Hot 100.
“I Am” which was written by Blige and Johntá Austin with music produced by Stargate was released as the second single. It was sent to U.S. radio on November 24, 2009 and will be released as a Digital Download on December 8, 2009. It debuted on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart November 19, 2009 at No. 46 prior to its full release.
“Stronger WithEach Tear” is worth the time for the great songs featured here. Fans of MJB should enjoy a majority of the album and be blown away by songs such as “In The Morning” which can match up to any song she’s ever done.
