Metallica - Death Magnetic Album Review
‘Death Magnetic‘ is the ninth studio album by American heavy metal band Metallica. I
The album is produced by Rick Rubin and will be released on September 12, 2008 by Warner Bros. Records.
If you are a Metallica fan, Buy it !
This album is not like not St. Anger, or Reload. This is “Justice For All Part II“, 20 years later and 20 years sleeker. We think that there are no metal CDs coming out this year that could touch this beast.
This is a classic return to form that will blow you away if you give it a chance.
Epic guitar solos from Kirk Hammett, constant speed changes and multiple riffs per song make the follow-up to 2003’s ‘St. Anger’ a throwback to the bands pre-1990s style. James Hetfield’s vocals and the pounding rhythms of Lars Ulrich are as powerful as ever, while Bass player Rob Trujillo appears on a studio recording with the band for the first time.

The original logo used by the band, which had been discontinued following the 1993 release Live Shit: Binge & Purge in favor of more modernized band logos, made its return on Death Magnetic.
James Hetfield commented on the album’s title:
Death Magnetic, at least the title, to me […] started out as kind of a tribute to people that have fallen in our business, like Layne Staley and a lot of the people that have died, basically - rock and roll martyrs of sorts. And then it kind of grew from there, thinking about death… some people are drawn towards it, and just like a magnet, [and] other people are afraid of it and push away. And the concept that we’re all gonna die sometimes is over-talked about and then a lot of times never talked about - no one wants to bring it up; it’s the big white elephant in the living room. But we all have to deal with it at some point.

I love Metallica but I use my brain. This album is great but could not be compared to the other godly albums from them like Master of Puppets and Ride the lightning. This album is just average and a good attempt to come back after that unholy thing called st.anger. I find it funny when i see reviewers give the album 5 stars because the album isnt perfect. The right amount i believe would be 4 stars or 8/10. Anyways, great album guys. Good to see you back.

Tis is an amazing comeback…!!
Album is good…”The End of the Line” kinda sounds like creeping death… but after a very long time, we get to see metallica playin’ such music… “really nice”…

Metallica is a real aweasome band but some of their newer songs can’t be compared to their older and more heavier sound. Metallica’s Master of Puppets,Reload,…And Justice for All, and The Black albums are Metallica’s very best but, some new songs like The Day That Never Come and The Unforgiven III are pretty good. Metallica just don’t got the sound the had years ago, but they still ROCK AND SO DOES THIS ALBUM!! But it seems Metallica has toned their hard core rock long ago to thrash instead.
