I am apauled that radio stations are playing this! She is a terrorist! If it wasn’t obvious from her record, then it is from this song! If you like her lyrics (especially in paper planes) maybe you should pack your bags and head east my friend. Perhaps say, to the middle east! This is terrorist propaganda pop! It sucks! And I do turn it off whenever I hear it. I am proud to be an American - lucky for this propoganda pop singer she lives here too. Methinks Kay is on the wind up! Great song, great lyrics, great video and sampling The Clash completes it for me. Great music should always push the boundaries. Paper Planes is single of the year.

Um, I love this country because of a little thing called “freedom of expression”. This song kicks butt. It’s got a good hook and cool flow. Anyone consider the fact that most people who sing/rap/write poetry about this kind of thing are trying to get ignorant middle class ’s to try to realize that while you think poverty is, say, pot bellied ethiopians with no water and a lack of dentists, it also includes a terribly large population within our own borders.
Do you ’s realize that just beyond the end your street (road, cul-de-sac) the number of humans having to do terrible things to survive increases exponentially and, yes people get hurt.
Harp back to the time your husband (CEO of a middling retail empire - which of course meant that you haven’t had to work since you got married and have probably had everything on a silver plate since then) laid off a quarter of their staff.
What did they do for rent, for food, for life?
They probably joined the hundreds of people at the dole queue fighting for the pittance that is given to them, more as a “here’s some money, please go away!” than a basic human right/common courtesy/the right thing to do!
