MTv Video Music Awards 2008 Winners
Britney Spears was the big winner at the MTV Video Music Awards 2008, after 16 nominations, Britney Spears finally won a moonman. She won all three of her nominations for Best Female Video, Best Pop Video, and Video of the Year for “Piece of Me”.
2008 VMAs was hosted by Russell Brand, an English comedian.
At one point, he said the night “marked the launch of a very new Britney Spears era”.
He called the US President “a retarded cowboy fella” who in England “wouldn’t be trusted with scissors“, and made many references to the virginity rings worn by the Jonas Brothers.
Later in the show, Brant apologised for his comments about the Jonas Brothers
The 25th annual Video Music Awards opened with a performance by Rihanna performing her single “Disturbia“.
