Resistance is the third single by English alternative rock band Muse, from their 2009 fifth studio album “The Resistance“.
Written by vocalist, guitarist and pianist Matthew Bellamy, it is due to be released on 22 February 2010. Promotional CDs for the single were distributed in early January, which gave an indication that the song would be released as the third single from The Resistance.
The music video for “Resistance”, which features footage of the band performing live on The Resistance Tour, debuted on 14 January 2010, and was filmed in Madrid (Palacio de los Deportes, 28-November-2009).

On the week ending 16th January 2010, “Resistance” entered the U.S. Billboard Alternative Songs Chart at #31. It has since reached #29 and entered the Rock Songs chart.
