‘You and Me‘ was officially interpreted for the first time during the Bejing 2008 opening ceremony.
The ceremony was hosted at Bejing’s Olympic stadium, the ‘Bird’s Nest’. Britain’s, Sarah Brightman and China’s, Liu Huan, where chosen to sing the official song, in front of an attendance of 91.000 people.
The Olympic song symbolizes unity and friendship between people. It perfectly matches with the Olympic games theme, ‘One World, One Dream‘.

Where can I purchase the music (CD or download) - the actual peerformance from the olympics? I have the full DVD set but I was looking for the audio CD or album.

Very beautiful, I would like to buy the CD, can I get it in UK ?
I loved the Olympics, and the presentation was stunning, and so well presented, and organised, that I can’t help but feel that London will just not be able to compete, with such genius !

The beautiful song is just a small part of a great success. The 2008 Beijing Olympics was sponsored by the whole country of 1.3 billion people. It was the best Olympics ever. A city like London can never compete with.

Truly touching. Though I haven’t heard any of the other opening songs, I’m sure this one is the best!
