Regina Spektor - Far Album Review
Far is the fifth studio album by New York singer/songwriter Regina Spektor. The album was produced in part by U2 and REM producer Jacknife Lee and was released in Europe by Sire Records on June 22, 2009 and North America on June 23, 2009.
Often compared to musicians as diverse as Bjork and Chopin, the New York based Russian songstress, Regina Spektor, is one of the biggest successes to emerge from the New York anti-folk scene. With her uninhibited imagination and her hands-on approach in the studio, Far not only succeeds with 13 impressive and accessible tracks, but it spotlights Spektor’s remarkable gift to craft intelligent and refreshingly honest odes to life.
Regina Spektor’s “Far” is a solid follow-up to her anti-folk and anti-pop tunes of the past.
If you are already a fan, this will not disappoint. If you are curious, this is a great introduction to the free spirit that is Regina!

This album is wonderful. I love the song “Wallet”. Regina Spektor never fails to deliver thought-provoking lyrics and passion in her music. Great post!
