Rockstar 101 is the third international single, and the fourth US single by Barbadian singer Rihanna from her fourth album “Rated R“.
The song was written by Terius Nash, Rihanna and Christopher Stewart who also produced by the song with The Dream. It is the follow-up to Rihanna’s current number one U.S. single, “Rude Boy“. The single features guitarist, Slash.
Ryan Seacrest first confirmed the single’s release on American Idol on April 7, 2010 when Rihanna performed the song for the first time. She performed with a black flying v electric guitar with her metallic “R” symbol on it - referring to the lyrics of the song - in a matching coloured superhero tight PVC outfit. Nuno Bettencourt made an appearance on guitar.
