Some celebrities spoke about their favorite albums of 2010 and here are their choices:

Kanye West’s “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” is Wyclef Jean and Mike Posner’s fave album. The album was released November 22, 2010 on Roc-A-Fella Records and debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart. Since then it has achieved respectable international charting and sold 496,000 copies in its first week in the United States. Kanye’s fifth studio album is opulent, controversial and transparent since the Chicago artist is examining himself in dichotomous lyrics. “Power,” “Monster,” and “Runaway” are the hits from this album that brought Kanye the most awaited chart success. Wyclef described the album as “representing completion as a whole.”

Trey Songz confessed he loves Sade’s “Soldier of Love” because it still carries the traces of her 1984 debut single “Your Love Is King”. And indeed, Sade Adu, who made a fortune with her successful 1980s output, released this year the first album in ten years, album whose 10 simple songs abounds in melancholy, downtempo beats, piano figures and rigorous quality control. And, as The Telegraph wrote, thanks to this album, “Sade remains, like love - the subject of her life’s work - mysterious and unknowable.”

The guys from The Chemical Romance voted for Black Keys’ tenth album - Brothers - that was released on May 18, 2010 and since has sold over 73,000 copies and reached the third position on Billboard Album Chart, being their highest rank yet. Besides, the song “Tighten Up”, featured on the FIFA 11 soundtrack, reached the top spot on the US Alternative charts, becoming a hit. And thus, the Black Keys were nominated for four Grammy Awards including Best Rock Song and Best Alternative Album. Furthermore, Rolling Stone magazine placed Brothers at number 2 on the Best Albums of 2010 while Spin magazine named the Black Keys the Artist of the Year for 2010.

Eminem’s seventh studio album, Recovery, conquered Demi Lovato’s heart as she confessed. It’s Slim Shady’s sixth consecutive number-one album in the US, topped the chart for seven weeks, selling 741,000 copies in its first week, making him the first artist in Soundscan history to have four albums debut with sales of over 700,000. In fact, this album was named as the best-selling album of 2010 by Nielsen SoundScan because it sold over three million copies in the US alone. For his effort in creating this wonderful unique album, Eminem was rewarded with ten nominations at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards including Album of the Year and Best Rap Album.

Last but not least, Rick Ross’s “Teflon Don” is also amongst celebrities’ fave list. Busta Rhymes, Drake and Swizz Beatz gave their approval for this album that was ranked by The New York Times as number one, album of the year, beating out other popular albums and artists like Taylor Swift and rappers Kanye West and Drake. Moreover, the album debuted at number 2 on the Billboard 200, selling 176,000 copies in its first week. Busta Rhymes said Teflon Don is “a beautiful body of art.”
