The Courteeners are an English band formed in Manchester, in 2006 by Liam Fray (guitar/vocals), Michael Campbell (drums/backing vocals), Daniel Conan Moores (Guitar), and Mark Cuppello (bass). All four band members hail from the Middleton area of Manchester, and have known each other since they were ten years old.

The Courteeners - Acrylic Review
The Courteeners certainly got off the right bus top. Being regarded as one of the best bands that have come out of Manchester in a while is a title that puts you under a lot of expectations and they’ve somehow met them. Admittedly, ‘Acrylic,’ won’t offer you something you haven’t heard before but its unfeasible to not the enjoy the beat and its blueprint indie structure. And as for the lyric, “you’re just like plasticine being moulded into a libertine dream,” it’s inevitable that that’s the next catchy line that just won’t get out of your head.
