Made in America by Toby Keith, Music Lyrics and Video
Made in America is a single by American country music singer-songwriter Toby Keith. He performed the song Wednesday night, June 8, 2011, at the CMT Music Awards in Nashville.
“Made In America” is a song about a man (Toby’s old man) who is proud to be from his country and has a love for all things that are American Made. A proud purchaser of US-made automobiles and other goods, a veteran of the marines and a tough hardworking man of the sweat and dirt of farmland in the heartland, the man in the song is about true blue American Values of working hard.
Great song from a true patriot and supporter of the United States of America. Great job Toby.
Here you can listen the song.

Toby Keith - Made in America Lyrics
my old man’s that old man,
spent his life livin’ off the land,
dirty hands, and a clean soul.
breaks his heart seein’ foreign cars,
filled with fuel that isn’t ours
and wearin’ cotton he didn’t grow
he’s got the red, white, and blue flyin’ high on the farm
simper fi tattooed on his left arm
spends a little more at the store for a tag in the back that says u.s.a.
won’t buy nothin’ that he can’t fix,
with wd40 and a craftsman wrench
he ain’t prejudice he’s just, made in America
his wife, she’s that wife that decorates on the 4th of july
but says “every day’s independence day”
she’s golden rule, teaches school,
some folks say it isn’t cool but she says the pledge of allegiance anyway.
got the red, white, and blue flyin’ high on the farm
semper fi tattooed on his left arm
spends a little more at the store for a tag in the back that says u.s.a.
won’t buy nothin’ that he can’t fix,
with WD-40 and a craftsman wrench
he ain’t prejudice he’s just, made in America
born in the heartland, raised up a family
of King James and uncle Sam
got the red, white, and blue flyin’ high on the farm
semper fi tattooed on his left arm
spends a little more at the store for a tag in the back that says u.s.a.
won’t buy nothin’ that he can’t fix,
with wd40 and a craftsman wrench
he ain’t prejudice he’s just, made in America
made in America
made in America
my old man’s that old man,
he’s made in America
America!

I love this song because it’s about me, a few years from now. 17 years in the Corps and haven’t gotten around to that tattoo yet, but I probably will before I get out (maybe right after since they’ve changed the rules a little).
There’s a really important message in this song:
“spends a little more at the store for a tag in the back that says USA”
As American consumers, we need to do what we can to ensure our money stays within out borders. We can’t block imports from China or they’ll do the same to us, so we’d lose. What we can do is look for that tag and BUY AMERICAN. It’s so damn simple. If we stop buying so much chinese junk they’ll focus on other markets and we won’t need tax advantages to make manufacturing profitable in America. Some people are poor, and their choice is between a Chinese product or nothing. But if you’ve worked hard, make a good living, and can afford to buy the American product over the Asian one, even if it costs 50-70% more, you need to do it.
Great song, Toby.

I was at Toby Keith concert last night in Holmdel NJ. Toby invited veterans on stage at the end of the concert and thanked them for their service. Being a veteran of the US Army (to far back in crowd to get up on stage) I appreciated this. He is a true patriot.

I love this song. Brought me to tears the first time I heard it and every time since.
My long gone Dad had the Navy anchor on his left arm and me an old jar head, with grand kids it really got to me. It touched me with thoughts of my youth, my family, my country, & my love for them.
Thanks to Toby & all & I mean All that serve, this means wifes, husbands, family.
God bless.

Craftsman wrenches have not been made in the USA for years, Snap-on is the only hand tool manufacture that still produces in the USA.
