“Jambi” is the third single and the second track from 10,000 Days by Tool. It was made officially available for radio airplay on February 12, 2007.
“Jambi” was played at every show during the tour supporting 10,000 Days, most often opening the setlist, and followed by “Stinkfist”.
Jambi is a province in Indonesia as well as a character from the show Pee-wee’s Playhouse (specifically, a genie) though no link has been proven.
The song features a 9/8 riff at the beginning, one of the few Tool songs to utilize 9/8.
