1. Pitbull - “Planet Pit”
“Mr. Worldwide’s” new album and the follow-up to last year’s Spanish-language offering “Armando” has just been released three days ago and it is already circling the world from London to Ibiza and New York to Shanghai, delivering club-ready dance jams in a mix hotter than ever. A dozen Pitbull tracks is packed with guest vocals by singers who are currently crowding the pop charts: Alex Da Kid, Ne-Yo, Afrojack and Nayer (”Give Me Everything”), Chris Brown (”International Love”), Marc Anthony (”Rain Over Me”), Kelly Rowland (”Castle Made Of Sand”), Enrique Iglesias (”Come N Go”), Sean Paul (”Shake Senora”) and Jamie Foxx (”Where Do We Go”).
2. Beyoncé -”4”
Beyoncé’s already leaked album is “an unexpected collage of sonic textures and unique song structures […] which features edgy new collaborators such as Switch (half of Major Lazer) along with established hit-makers like The-Dream and Babyface”, as Billboard magazine reviewed it. It’s her fourth album and it delves into different eras with “Run The World (Girls)”, “1+1″, “End Of The Time” and “I Was Here” followed by many other irreplaceable tracks that offer a new Beyoncé and a new musical experience to indulge in during the hot summer nights.
3. Selena Gomez - When The Sun Goes Down”
For those kids who turned into teenagers, Selena Gomez will soon launch her third album, one that is Disney free. At the end of the month, once the album hits the stores, her fans will discover a new Selena, a 18-year-old beautiful girl who has determinedly stepped into full-fledged womanhood with tracks such as “Whiplash”, “My Dilemma”, “Outlaw” and the first single “Who Says”. “I have been juggling acting and singing for two-and-a-half to three years, but I have to start over in some areas. It’s interesting to start taking risks, to grow up through my music,” said the singer in a recent interview.
4. Jeff Bridges - “Jeff Bridges”
He won an Oscar for his portrayal of fallen country star Bad Blake in “Crazy Heart,” but Jeff Bridges wants to show to the world that he’s not just a very good actor but a very good singer too, so he is preparing for the release of his debut album that is set to hit stores in August. With Tom Waits and Roseanne Cash, Stephen Bruton, John Goodwin, Greg Brown and Bo Ramsay. Sam Phillips and Benji Hughes to appear on the record, as well as Ryan Bingham, who provided vocals for the soundtrack of Bridges’s 2009 film “Crazy Heart”, Bridges ain’t messing around.
5. Red Hot Chili Peppers - “I’m With You”
Red Hot Chili Peppers gave their fans a major hot album have in every decade since the 80s, and many thought that their 2006’s “Stadium Arcadium,” was their last. But The Chilis are not done with music and they will release on August 30 their tenth studio album, “I’m With You”, a record with 14 tracks. The album’s lead single and seventh track, “The Adventures of Raindance Maggie”, is set to premiere on July 18th.
