Back Home by Westlife, Album Review
Back Home is the ninth studio album by Irish boy band Westlife and it was released on November 5, 2007. The album contains a collection of brand new tracks along with a few covers of timeless classics.
Fans will be ecstatic as the album sees the boys do what they do best, delivering a tried and tested formula of powerful and uplifting ballads and classic and modern covers.
The tracklisting for the album was released on the band’s official website on the October 3, 2007. The release date of the album was brought forward to the November 5, 2007 from the initial November 12, 2007.
The first single from the album is a cover of the ballad “Home“, originally by Michael Buble which was released on October 29, 2007 The song debuted at number 3 on the official UK singles chart.
Other cover songs are “Have You Ever”, a Diane Warren penned ballad previously recorded by Brandy and “I’m Already There”, a country ballad by Lonestar.

I don’t have anything against westlife, but isn’t “I’m already there” the 2nd Lonestar song they have ruined? They can’t do it as well as Lonestar, and so I don’t see why they have copied it at all! I was aghast!

Rick, Your just a jealous bastard! Leave westlife alone..they don’t ruin songs they fix them and they do a pretty good job of it! so leave them alone because i don’t see you trying to do their job!
!And if you had to keep on top to keep all their fans screaming you would probably do the Same!

To be honest I don’t think they DO fix them. All these covers may have higher production values, the singing may be technically better, it may all be slicker and more professional, but none of them really have the heart and realism of the originals. I wouldn’t say they “ruin” the songs, but they don’t anything for the songs, and the songs don’t do anything for them.

Actually Lonestar covered it from a countryy sing peter garfield or summat so lonestar also covere it!
I love this album bk to suma of proper westlife stuff!

i think westlife’s new album rocks! they do justice to the songs they remake!for those who are saying they “RUIN” the songs, i would love to hear you do a better version of it!! just make sure it’s much better than wetlife’s…
