White Lies - To Lose My Life… Album Review

To Lose My Life…, also known by extended title of To Lose My Life Or Lose My Love, or shortened as To Lose My Life, is the debut album by London based indie rock band, White Lies.
The album was produced by Ed Buller and Max Dingel, who have previously worked with The Killers and Glasvegas and was released on 19 January 2009.
It peaked at number one on UK Albums Chart.

Since releasing their debut single, ‘Unfinished Business’, in April 2008, the band have become one of the most hotly-tipped bands in the UK courtesy of acclaimed performances at the summer festivals.
If you like good lyrics then this is for you too, every song is beautifully written, you can tell they worked hard to get these 10 songs just right as there is no filler at all, this is well worth your money.

If you like Depeche Mode, you’ll love these guys. Their style is very similar, but somehow they have also managed to add a modern touch to their music, reminding you that you are in fact living in the 21st century.
This is an exceptionally good first main release and at a young age they have many moons ahead of them to establish themselves and it will be interesting to hear their next collection.
Definitely one to try if you like something special and unique.
